he sounds like a bitter betty to me. Abe gots to give credit where credit is due and man up and say that he lost to a better fighter fair and square.

He says he doesnt want to drop down but he is going to have to because he has lost to two of the best in his division and looks as if he wont beat them anytime soon.

He clearly has issues dealing with losses. In any other situations he's the most humble person around, funny dude too, but these losses get to him. I don't think he ever disputed that he lost to Ward or Froch but he could definitely be a better sport.

Oh well, to become relevant again he either has to face Sturm at 160, Pavlik at 168 or maybe a Stieglitz or something, these dudes don't present a slicks style or great footwork and that's what got to AA lately.

But first things first: GET RID OF WEGNER and hire someone who could teach him inside skills.

There is a such thing as getting outboxed without getting hurt with power punches. Truth is, Ward is a boxer who isnt known for being a big puncher.

Nothing new here. I don't think Ward is light fisted by any means, but he can't hurt opponents at this level. Though he's very strong, just not a strong puncher.

He's correct. He said that Ward did a much better job against Kessler and that Ward has no (punching) power. Also he said that he was uptight after the 2nd round, because he thought he couldn't win via points (which is true although he fought good in the first two).

All in all I can't see what the problem is. He didn't say that Ward is not good or anything like that - he just said that Ward performed better against Kessler which I think is true.

Pernell Whitaker outboxed a TON of guys, and did so without using power. Nice try...not...

Sour Grapes.. My question is.. Why do Wards opponents become discorage and damn near stop trying to win after 4-6 rounds.. its like a re ocurring theme.. Can someone answer that cause if he dosn't have any power what is it? If he didn't have any power opponents would just walk through Ward and lay power shots on him.. hmmmmmm....

Nothing wring in what he says about A. Ward's power but still, i find him less humble than what he used to be.

They stop trying to win because he's too good, i repeat he isn't that powerful.

his speed will be his power, but he wont be a big puncher that can stop froch and the likes from coming forward and landing on him.

That's true, he wasn't humble but that is probably due to him being very disappointed in himself. His performance was crap - and that's coming from one of his (formerly) biggest fans. I'm still a fan of the old Abraham, but it's hard to be a fan of a guy who seems totally lost in the ring, totally without a game plan, without stamina, without timing and last but not least without self-confidence. That's not what he is (was?) known for - at least not if you know him good (as a fighter).
