I thought the new tv deal is gonna see the cap raise to $7 mil a year. As for JT his a great player and its a great thing that his still in the game and we dont have to worry about him being tempted to go to the dark side.
The thing about JT is he's got nothing in the trophy cabinet which is unusual for a half back of his calibre
Parramatta signed Ben Roberts for 2 seasons. Not a good signing IMO. Seems unmotivated, bad at defending and 90% of the time a **** player.
Not quite and look where that got the Knights. Chewing up most of the Cap hoping 1 man can win the trophy.
14 out of the 16 clubs dont make a profit as it is. How would they be able to get by if you doubled the salary cap? 4.5 million a season is more realistic.
7 million is the agreed Salary Cap for 2013. Surprise surprise that Searle is one of the key figures in getting it through :yep
The Players Union and ARL have agreed to that figure. The payment to the League for the next TV Rights deal will inject alot more money into the ARL. There are articles around you just have to find them.
If that is the case, the clubs should be getting at least 5m more from the NRL per season, otherwise it'll be unsustainable.
