Which of them do you tip to fight for future world titles?
basically which of them will be WORLD CLASS fighters.

    Joe Murray - featherweight - 10-0 5KO - 24 years old
    Frankie Gavin - Light Welterweight - 9-0 8KO - 25 years old
    Billy Joe Saunders - Super Middleweight - 8-0 5KO - 21 years old
    James DeGale - Super Middleweight - 10-0 8KO - 25 years old
    Tony Jeffries - Light Heavyweight - 8-0 6KO - 26 years old
    David Price - Heavyweight - 10-0 8KO - 27 years old
    George Groves * - Super Middleweight - 12-0 10KO - 23 years old

    * not in the class of 2008 but added to the poll for obvious reasons

MULTIPLE select poll so click all you think will make it to world class level.

Depending on the turnout of the poll, could be interesting to revisit this thread in 3 years time. We'll know a lot more then.

I think Gavin and DeGale are stand outs. I could see both being world champions and not just paper title holders, but genuine world class fighters who are in and around world level for years.

I could imagine Groves getting a few world title shots. I think he'll be a much better fighter when he's experienced. Right now, he's too raw but he'll get there, I think.

I'm impressed with Joe Murray too but it's hard to say because he's not fought anyone that good yet.

They are the stand outs for me, though. I see no potential in Price and Jeffries. Saunders seems ok but not elite potential.

    agree with you.

Im really really excited about Frankie Gavin i feel he is a future undisputed champ. the guy just knows how to win fights. James Degale same thing. id love to see him face off against Ward/Direll in 3 years or so. Take his trash talking to the Americans and wind them right up!

Groves i feel he will have 2 or 3 losses to his name before he gets a world title. he has good potential but a lot to work on. But i can see him winning a belt after around 30 fights and a few defeats. It will be interesting to see if he stays with team Haye throughout his career. Same with DeGale surely its just a matter of time before he leaves Frank Warren

I think Degale and Gavin will be worldclass

I said Price world class as well but only because when the two brothers retire I think will be a lot easier to do well, his chin is a bit suspect I think

I would be amazed and very disapointed if Gavin did not become world class. The kid looks exceptional and DeGale looks good enough to mix at a good level already so I would expect him to pick up versions of a world title also.

Price could be great if he is matched right over the next year. He does not have all the time in the world to get the right fights but can not be rushed either.

I'd like to think Saunders could mix at world level in time as well, he looks really sharp but until he's tested we'll never know. Don't see Jeffries getting past Euro level which is a shame cos he's a top bloke and I'd like to see him get to world level-and that's coming from a geordie!

I think Gavin has the class to get to the top. Just hoping he steps up to title class after Mutley this saturday as he's more than ready for it

Was just thinking the same thing myself the average is about 9 fights 3 per year. They should have had that many fights in half this time. Especially with the amount of easy stoppages which aren't very taxing. I think they should really be about the 15 fight mark.

As for who is getting to world class nowadays its a hard question to define so i voted for those who i thought could get world title shots in the future.

    I think
Degale, Gavin are dead certs both being with Warren both showing lots of potential

Murray, Price, Groves. All of these are capable of world title shots but I think whether they win or not depends on how they develop.

BJS, Jeffries, I think BJS is a solid Euro level guy and Jeffries will probably get a few shots at the British at som point becuase of his popularity.

They've all been pretty badly managed IMO. Even Degale could've got in a six-rounder a few weeks after Smith, Warrens insistence on showing these lads on Sky has hindered their development.

With the internet, there's no reason these fights wouldn't be screened, the amount of fights these lads have had is a joke.

Frankie Gavin should've been stepped up by his sixth or seventh fight; inactivity + lack of quality opposition=a big missed opportunity IMO.
