I dont know about that. I reckon a larger proportion of the big fights in the us are scored reasonably. Practically every televised event in the uk has had at least one dodgy scorecard recently

I used to think this, but having seen brahmer i dont think hes AS dangerous as katsidis, also i think clev has a bit more about him than Mitchell, who was clearly domestic until beating a ludicrously overrated prescott.

Clev has been coming up for a couple of years, im giving him the benefit of the doubt

If Clev starts trading, which he usually does, then there's every chance he gets sparked.

He needs to use his speed and workrate to build up a lead over the first half of the fight and if he's got the energy left push for a stoppage late on, if not just try and see out the 12 rounds by winning the odd round here and there to get a points win.

Would not surprise me if Clev lost though, could go either way this.

I was only joking about Canada and USA, you get very reasonable scorecard even when the fight has been close but there is a clear winner, see Berto vs Ortiz. In the UK there are constant robberies by moronic officials, see any IJL decision or the Sexton fight the other week.

I may be writing Clev off but I'm letting my bias cloud my call. I think the guy is an arse who needs a humbling somehow. If I look objectively I can see Clev points or Braehmer stoppage late.

If Clev attempts the same plan he employed against Murat I see it ending horribly for him.
Clev needs to fight smart in this one.

I might have agreed in the past but in the build-up to this fight I think Clev has been very grounded and realistic about the fight. He knows this fight asks a lot of questions about him and he knows some people think it is too early for him.

Personally, I see him being way too quick and too busy for Braehmer and depending on the German's chin/heart we will either see a Murat-type late stoppage or a clear points victory for Clev.

Have the Canadian and USA boxing boards just emailed you to explain your earlier comments?

If Cleverly performs like his last couple of outings hes gonna get KOd, hopefully he learnt well from the last fight and does what his corner tells him, boxes and wins a UD

cant see braehmer getting a decision in the uk even with neutral judges, unless he really really dominates clev. i'd say this is 50/50 between a braehmer stoppage and clev pts win

I just felt I should come clean with my attempt at a joke. It wasn't funny or clever and I apologise to any US or Canadian official who may be reading.

I hope Clev wins due to my home nation patriotism, but I think at real world level he will be found wanting. ( I class Dawson, Hopkins, Pascal, Cloud as real world class)

Braehmer has built up a decent looking record on paper, but as long as Clev doesn't get stupid (he has a degree in maths by the way, so not much chance of this) and duke it out with him then he should be able to take it on points.

Braehmer, even though a step up, ain't all that.
