Some people fail to realize Floyd as well as DLH was with Arum for atleast 10 years. They both know the games Arum plays and what he is capable of doing and how he goes about his business. That's why Floyd knows for a fact that old man Arum is milking Pacman before he puts him in their with a real threat with fairness across the lines ( no catchweight, old, shot, or coming a lost). Marinate on that for awhile. Food for thought.

Pacman because he won't take a test with no cutoff dates like Floyd will subject himself too.

Atleast with Arum they fought consistently and they couldn't just cherry pick whoever they wanted. Oscar left Arum in 2000, yet he went back to him from 2002-2004 to promote his fights until he got knocked out by Hopkins.

    Oscar De La Hoya, 2004
"I will not work with Top Rank. It's a business decision," he said. "Bob Arum is a great guy, and he's been good to me. We've made each other a lot of money, but Golden Boy Promotions is ready to go on its own now."

As for Floyd, after he left Arum he's had 5 fights in the 5 years since, 2 in the last 3, wasting away his prime years. He made more money than he would've made with Arum, however Arum has since gone on to guide Pac to the massive paydays Floyd craved. Leaving Arum turned out to be great for Floyd's bank account, but had he stayed he would've fought Margarito, Cotto and Pac, and maybe a couple other top fighters, which would've been better for boxing and his legacy.

    Bob Arum 2008
"the thing with Mayweather that breaks my heart, is the more money he makes the bigger idiot he becomes and that’s not good as a role model for the younger fighters,"

At this point I would love to see ESB make a sub forum for just Pac and Floyd discussion, or just rename the General Forum, PAC-FlOYD, because that is basically all that is here.
