I know its a future fight.

But I wanted to seek the opinons of boxing people who have been around the sport for years and have seen it all before.

On the General Forum - you got biased Americans calling Haye a fraud and that he will get destroyed.

In the Brit Forum - you got biased Brits - who think Haye can destroy Wlad.

So I came here to see what the old wise timers think - how do you see this going down ?

A good big one - with the size and power - but with some suspect mental and chin weaknesses.

A good little one - who can be a bit wild and sloppy - but a explosive banger - but also with questionable stamnia and resistance.

Does Boxing History give us any clue - how a clash like this will go down ?

Wlad´s chin is okay. He got blitzed by Sanders years ago but Sanders was a good puncher with good speed. Neither the loss to Purrity or Brewster was due to his chin but picking the wrong opponent at the wrong time, with subpar conditioning and some stamina/pacing issues that are resolved now. Mentally weak? Wait, coming back from three stopping losses - and rising up from the canvas on each occasion willing to go on - to be THE hw champion of the world isn´t mentally weak sorry.

If Haye trys to blitz Wlad and comes out with blazing guns ready for a risk everything to gain everything attitude he has a chance. If he doesn´t he has none. Then it will be a typically Wlad fight with him jabbing, Haye not finding a way around the jab and getting broken down and stopped midrounds. I even can see a points win for Wlad if Haye fights him like he did Valuev. And a very boring fight. Since going allout isn´t Haye´s style - at least not at hw - I think the second possibility is the most probable one and my pick. Wlad by midround KO.

Wladimir should win within 7 or 8 rounds.

The fight might resemble Lewis v Morrison or something like that.

Lewis V Morrison was particulary calculating one sided and brutal.

If the fight starts to resemble that - Adam Booth is going to be throwing the towel in sooner rather than later.

    That's up to Booth.

Let's face it, we're ALL buying this fight - everyone who is registered on ESB forums is buying this fight, or going to be in that arena on the night.

One-sided or not, mismatch or not, Booth and Haye and Wlad and his people, and RTL, HBO and SKY, whoever, can rely on us to fill their coffers.
I'd like to think they respect that enough to put up a decent effort, but I wouldn't count on it .....

If it turns out as good as Lewis v Morrison we've done okay. I don't set my expectations too high. This could well be a shitty fight, or a Bruce Seldon remake.

I really suspect that Haye might knock him out. He stands far outside and closes the gap quickly. I wouldn't bet on the fight.

I really think that Wlad will fight perhaps his career best fight...his finest performance..in outboxing, out-thinking and utilizing his reach and size advantages to the max against Haye. It will be a methodical, controlled performance...just what Wlad is noted for...and will brutally ko Haye suddenly, like he did Chambers..probably in the 9th round.

Wlad will keep Haye at a distance...he'll control the distance quite well.

Its go time for Haye, because noone really knows what hes got. I think hes pretty much a big question mark in a few departments.
One thing we know he has, is speed and a big mouth, so it will be interesting to see how he approaches Wlad. I dont think hes going to get blown out, but hes going to have to get close to Wlad and rough him up. I think hes going to fight Wlad exactly the way he fought Valueav and try and move and go in and out a lot. Its an interesting fight and Haye will be under a lot fire from Wlads jab, hook and righthand as he comes forward. If Haye can drag it into a brawl and take Wlad deep he has a shot, but I think his chin will be the determining factor and were going to find out early.

I wont be surprised who wins, but Im picking a stoppage by either fighter mid fight.

I see the ring being empty and no crowds, not even the fighters are there, opps sorry thats what WILL happen. July 2nd is still a ways away and that will be plenty of time for it getting cancle.

I have Kilt if the fight goes on, 8th round ko.

I dont think that Haye has fought anywhere near enough contenders for any type of sensible prediction to be made. We dont even really know if he is a top class heavyweight, much less a champion caliber fighter. I think Wlad has proved he is, despite several glaring weaknesses and the fact that he hasnt (and never will) meet his number 1 contender. We can only address this fight on the assumption that Haye is indeed in the same class to make this a close fight although i wouldnt be surprised if he isnt and if Wladimir blew him out.

Stylistically, Haye has that low guard approach which is extremely worrying against Wlad, who will hit long and hard and you would think would land often. The key for Haye will be to slip or duck the leading jab and counter hard. I dont really know or think that Haye is elusive enough to pull it off, and i see Wlad landing on Haye and Haye really struggling with the power. Still, Wlad will get in close and try to clinch, but this does leave openings for Haye to land and test Wlad's chin, which must be worrying for Wlad. It is just that i think that Wlad will land cleaner and harder more regularly, i think. Giving him the better chance to score the win and earning him the right to start training.

From a legacy viewpoint, their is potential for both. Obviously a win for Haye opens up opportunity to immediately unify with Vitali in a megafight and establish himself as a superstar, maybe even fight a few easier defences along the way. For Wlad, although the fight (assuming he wins) will probably mean little, Haye is rightly or wrongly seen as a world champion so it should help a little. And if Haye lands early, there is every chance that Haye can drop Wladimir and give him the War, right from the word go, that his legacy really needs to establish himself.

All in all, I hope Haye wins, but would have to give Wlad solid favouritism.

If the bell rings for the second round there'll be almost all we need to know about the fight; either Haye will be slipping the jab-right or he wont.

Klitschko gets past Hayes reactions, Haye is finished.

Haye reads the jab-jab-straight and manages a counter: the Fight Is ON.

Either way both have the equalizer, if it's even money I'd bet on Klit to land and finish.

Well it will be an event that captures the imagination. Heavyweight boxing has not had that in a while. Haye as a big mouth, and is being hyped like Rocky Balboa. I have no doubt Haye can punch and has very good hand speed. However, he has average defense, fights scared, can't take a good punch, and I think cuts easily.

It would not surprise me if Wlad overwhelms him early. In most of Wlad fights, there is a point where he lands the first big right hand or left hook and the other guy immediately changes tactics. In this fight, the first big shot Wlad lands might start the count. I like Wlad inside of five rounds. Might look a bit like the Brock fight. Or the Austin fight is Haye's chin is as bad as I suspect.

    Haye by KO.

And I'm not one of those guys that picks against Wlad every other fight.
