Marquez really broke that **** down. I underestimated his RING IQ.

I think he could make his fights easier, but like Pacquiao he'll get in a scrap to raise the excitement for the fans.

I also have to give him a lot of credit. A big guy like Mosley ran away terrified of Pac, guys like Mayweather won't even get in the ring with him because he is so afraid, yet Marquez fought on even terms with Pac like a warrior, and didn't say **** about him bein on steriods.

    That's a WARRIOR.

I can't understand some of the hate some Filipinos have for Marquez. I love watching the dude fight and he's an awesome technician. He doesn't fight as well above his natural weight class but he's adjusted and showed that you can not take him out no matter how much bigger you might be.

It's probably just backlash because of all haters saying that Marquez "schooled" Pacquiao in both fights.

    Cheers TS good read

Marquez is probably my 1st/2nd favourite boxer around atm hes a great technician but can brawl. The two Diaz fights are a perfect example of his two styles. Its a shame he cant carry his ability with him as he goes up the weight classes. It would be nice if he had more big money fights(he deserves them) down at a weight he carries better.

JMM is one of the most intelligent boxers in the game right now. Interesting analysis and breakdown by him. His only issue with Pacquiao has been overcoming the physical advantages... we will see if he can do it this time, but I fear there may be more of a gap in that area at this point.

    Mad props for the translation!

If there are any (coz my circle loves the guy) I think it's rare.
I actually am a huge fan of EM, MAB and JMM.
And outside of MAB, they all gave Pac hell.

It's only on ESB.. where they hide behind a computer.

I work with a lot of Pilipinos and they all have admiration for Marquez... always saying he was the best fighter PAC fought that gave him the most trouble... and a very good counter puncher.

Only on ESB they down grade JMM... but in real life where I encounter real casual filipinos they all admire him...

I agree, you have to have real resolve. It's crazy to see the way Marquez was floored three times in the same round and yet still came back fighting hard rather than just giving up the fight as a lost cause. Shane was floored once and that pretty much changed the entire fight. Cotto also really faded once he tasted Pac's power. Hatton, to be fair, kept charging in like a bull, but his courage has never been in doubt. Pac can be constantly out-skilled, but once he lands one of his classic bombs then it's like a seed of fear is planted in the mind.

Marquez combines smarts with guts. Quite dangerous.
