wrestling and mma just like boxing are semi global ,but hockey and basketball are one of the most popular sports in the world.
Hockey is huge in the ex-Soviet countries, Sweden, and Finland. Not global but its more than "yanks and canadians." Basketball is getting really big in Europe and South America too

Two quick points! Strong Eastern European males are very threatening to people. Particularly brainwashed Americans and Brits who would rather see any displaced minority succeed at their expense. To the poster who feels wrestling is not global. WHY NOT? Every ethnic group around the globe has some form of tribal wrestling style that has been parcticed for hundreds of years. Russia and some of it's earstwhile republics dominate today because they train the hardest/smartest.
