Based on your reasoning I wouldn't bother going and would wait for a big fight to be happening in Atlantic City or New York etc.

have you been to the states before? everyone is different but i think your massively under estimating how much the travel will knacker you out and how jet lagged you will be.

going to vegas to see a big fight is great because....its in vegas. and vegas is great cos your can get ****ed up, gamble and snatch some girls. if your not into 2/3 i wouldn't bother.

As I said, it's a boxing pilgrimage. It's the BOXING I'm going for.

Good idea, I'll wait for Pac-Marquez III to be shifted to another city :patsch

Also, I travelled to Asia (six hours behind) and never experienced any jetlag. And being used to (in my youth) staying up for weeks doing base, I think I can adjust my mental mindset to shift a bit of jet lag :good

Aye, that's right. They spent a fortune on re-opening Aladdin and then they went bust. Too right, location is everything. Vegas has some really shitty areas off the strip.

So on Thursday they're eight hours ahead. But on Monday we're, what, 15 hours ahead?!?!?

Although there's obviously more to do in NYC, as I said, I couldn;t give two ****s about seeing America.

Fair play. I would recommend staying at the MGM then as you will be around the fight stuff the whole time.

At least try and be there for the weigh in so leave on thursday.

If they're eight hours ahead and I leave on Monday morning, I'll get home on Monday morning, not Tuesday morning.

No. If your flight leaves at 10am on Monday from Las Vegas you will get home at 4am on tuesday.

    If they're eight hour ahead:

USA time: 8 o clock in the morning, Monday
    UK time: midnight sunday

Travel what, ten hours? Time in USA now, 6 in the afternoon/evening
In UK; 10 o'clock Monday morning.

    What am I missing here?

I'am just back from the Pac/Mosley fight & stayed at the MGM again, $700 for 5 nights. Now the MGM ai'n me fav, but if yer want value stay at the Excalibur & go sign up now with the hotel guestbooks & get the usual bollocks of 25% off. MGM nearly all the casino's now so the good old days of drinking & stuffing yer mug for $10.00 are a think of the past.

The reason i'll always stay at the MGM is because thats where it all goes on + the bar i frequent is next to the elevators. Plenty of places to stay around the same price. But if you're a 1st timer then it's the MGM Grand & no where else because the whole ****ing week it's all gearing up for the fight & it's godlike & this ****in fight it's going to be rammed with mex gangbangers & pino crews all over the place:lol:

If yer going solo please don't book from here, do it all seperatly as me & a few others do. It's per room & not per head over there, i'll get back to you later once i've sorted out my deal, jeezus i ****in hope it is on:happy I'am going to book flights & room now:D:D:D:D seriously pumped for this one. the atmosphere will be total ****in mega!!!!!!!! I was at the Cotto/Margo & Pac/Cotto fights, makes yer hair stand up just typing it:happy
