Could Joe Calzaghe even make it the distance with a prime Roy Jones?

Calzaghe was as tough as anybody, but with the amount of clean punches RJJ would have landed on him, I think a late round stoppage is likely, with a few knockdowns prior to the stoppage. I can't see Calzaghe going into survival mode. He'd try to force the fight, which would be his downfall.

Joe's chin is good but not unbreakable. he just never fought anyone with the power and skills to break it.

Prime RJJ was at light-heavyweight- Prime Calzaghe was at super-middleweight. Calzaghe would lose a lob-sided decision and have a few decent rounds if he stuck to a gameplan, but he always threw the gameplan out the window when people started trading or getting the better of him. Prime RJJ would turn him into a punchbag if that happened. :rasta

I'd expect Calzaghe to lose a decision to Roy at 168lbs.

Roy would rip throw calzaghe either at 169 or 175, it wouldnt matter. Calzaghe would walk right in throwing a lot, which would benefit Roy, and he would take him out before the 10th.

I voted "yes" simply because I think he would go defensive, slap and run a few rounds, and hear the final bell.

He has a good chance of lasting the distance if he uses spoiler tactics and doesn't engage. If he engaged Roy would take him out for sure. More than like Roy by TKO/KO
