Jones never fought the best, and he never fought overseas. He had great skills but he was hesitant to test himself against the best out there. His trip to HW to fight Ruiz was how he conducted his entire career, moving to a weight class and taking the easiest route to a belt.

Caslappy will never even be ranked in top 75 fighters of all time, most experts rank jones top 50 easy, some top 25, eat a dick.

    James Toney
    B-Hop
    MCcallum
    Montel Griffin
    Virgil Hill
    John Ruiz
    Antonio Tarver

all far better than anyone on Calslappy's resume (mr slappy has B-Hop as well but an older slower, less intense version although Jones' win over B-Hop was over a pretty green B-Hop so I'll say equal on that one)

joe calzaghe beat a 31yr old eubank who had over 20 championship fights to become champion

joe defended his WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE against the elite of the division
    Robin Reid wbc
    Richie Woodhall wbc
    Charles Brewer ibf
    Byron Mitchell wbc

actually good points. Roy did a little what Pacman does now, beats good names at the right time, but Roy beating all these guys was better than anyone else at the time. Who else beat Hopkins,Hill and Toney? Regardless of all those issues. Jones is not in my mind top top rated but he is great.

Not to mention head to head you'd be hard pressed to find anyone that would beat Jones from 160-175

american hype job , think about it he's a great fighter and everybody comes out the see him, doesnt take chances at fighting the elite when he was p4p in the world.

who does that sound like? Roy Jones and fellow p4p buddy PBF

real warriors fight the best of the best on the regular

joe beat a shot to death chris eubank with over 50 fights....for a vacant title...he didnt even beat a reigning champion...he beat eubank in oct 1997
and eubank retired after 2 more loses the next year july 1998

17 WBO 168 title fights and you list 4 as his best fights

Byron Mitchell. gets title shot at Joe coming off a LOSS to Sven OTTKE in previous fight :rofl

charles brewer- had lost previous 2 of 4 fights going in losing to ottke and getting kod by echols a year earlier... WOW joe...put it on the line baby :D

robin reid who had been inactive fighting joe in 1999 , beating 8 win 3 loss greg townsend in 1998 and losing to 10 loss fighter sugar boy malinga in 1997. pathetic

woodhall, just lost to beyer a year beofre..had 1 scrub fight against a 9 loss fighter to build the big joe c fight up, then joe beats him...woodhall retires.... impressive joe :rofl

Jones winning every single round against James Toney is MUCH better than anyone Calzaghe has beaten.

    DARIUS MICHAELZEWSKI.............................what

Roy Jones in 2000 has destroyed Richard Hall with incredible fashion.

A year later the poor Darius beat Hall 115-113.......come on

It's strange because when Jones had beat Ruiz....Ruiz gave a lot of trouble to many fighters....

His biggest mistake was to move to heavyweight and losing 25 pounds of muscles after.

During that period Jones was getting old faster

d-man was a meal ticket in germany.

they were happy doing what they are doing with say felix sturm today.

    endless money earning title defences.

the nigel benn fight was difficult cos benn was showtime/king and jones was HBO/arum.

eubank was off to south africa fighting duds like dan schommer.:patsch

60/40 i kick your ass. :yep

jones was prepared to fight hops in 2002.

but hops wanted his 50/50 after he'd already lost to jones.

he was happy staying put and waiting around for oscar anyway.
