Reading through Four Kings, and Hagler's resume and record is more impressive. Fight wise, I think Hopkins could beat him. He's the master of directing the pace of a fight and is so defensively sound, I think Hagler would struggle to unleash his inner monster on B-Hop. He'd definitely have his moments though, ain't no-one beating Hagler problem-free.
Hagler. Hopkins getting VERY close though, if he beats Pascal AGAIN (he got robbed the 1st time) Hopkins legacy is above Haglers. In a H2H dream match I'd pick Hagler, but that has nothing to do with greatness.
What makes you think Hopkins' resume would be higher than Hagler's? Curious. I mean, Pascal's a good fighter and all but it's not like a close decision with Leonard or anything.
Are you guys kidding me!! Hagler was one of the best Middleweights of all time. Bhop is a great fighter, but even he will say he is not as good as Hagler was!! I'm old enough to remember watching Hagler fight, and the guy was a seek and destroy type of fighter!
Hagler is one of the best middleweights ever, hopkins had a great run at middleweight and then challenged himself at the higher weights winning belts and defying odds while trying to become the oldest champion ever, hagler never challenged himself like that, I take hopkins.
