 Are we talking about the same ALI who carried his own jab very low and had a habit of getting droped by left hooks ? And for the record ALI never had the power to make the things happen that you guys are claiming ! Christ every fighter from 1995 and below are becoming like comic book heros on this board !

 Do you realize that there is no such thing as ATG ! JOE is way to small easy to hit and hurt to be any threat at all to VLAD ! in fact VLAD would be grossly critisised for even beating a guy JOES size ! In fact he was for beating bigger men !:deal

A great number of people are also ignoring every fighter that was not in their prime before 1980.

Kiltschko would get hit with Ali's jab all day long. If I remember they have a very similar reach. Ali's hand speed advantage is so vast that Wlad would get hit with it all day.

He also goes into his shell when he gets hit and Ali would hit him a lot.

In '67 Ali we're talking about the greatest heavy of all time at his peak. His superior footwork would not allow Wlad to set up his vaunted right hand, also it would mean that Ali could dictate when and where exchanges take place. Ali would seize the inititive from the start and probably stop an exhausted Wlad late.

the problem with wlad is any time is the right time to hit him there is probably a whole lot of cruisers and light heavy who could ko wlad.
ali never got knocked flat out as soon as he hit the canvas he was back on his feet. his hands are too quick his chin is too hard and his footwork dances round wlad until he falls over, lets just face that wlad is not on the same level as ali of a hell of alot of other heavyweights.

so your saying you wouldnt mention it if ali had got knocked out by a snooker player??

:patsch Punching up deminishes reach tremendously ! thats VLADS advantage ! And for the record I think ALI would win a desision ( as i already stated ) But this is far from a given ! the fact is dispite the critisim of VLADS competition its far greater then the competion ALI fought in the sixties ! So its very hard to gage how good the obviously gifed ALI would have dont against top opposition when at his peak ! Now in the seventies ALI was a great CHARACTER but not close to as good a fighter as claimed !:good

He is not punching up dramatically. He is punching up 3" which is not a great deal when talking about someone with a handspeed advantege that Ali has. Also Brewster is smaller than Ali in terms of height and reach. Sanders has less reach and is like... an inch or 2 taller. They both got to Wlad.

I agree with the likley outcome that you have stated. And as well that people usually either under/overrate fighters from different generations.

we wont mention about being laughable when you think that wlad would beat frazier and ali based on what achievments exactly.

im sure david haye, and chad dawson have more than enough power to put wlad to sleep. it only takes one average punch and hes down, samuel peter had him on the floor 3 times what does that say to you, if he can do that frazier would absolutely murder him.

Ali has too much skill, intelligence, stanima, speed and I don't see how Wladimir could beat him. Wladimir had no answer for Sanders' speed and he definately would have an answer for Ali's.
