He's not feather fisted though is he? And Clev has 0% defence, guaranteed excitement, what a shame he doesn't care about preserving his '0' and actually wants to take a challenge, eh?

Clev will beat him, especially on this notice. But fair play I say.

    Agreed.

A world title fight involving two British fighters that have said **** about each other and who's styles are guaranteed to make for an entertaining fight.

    What's not to like?

Better that than some anonymous Eurostiff that'll spoil all night so he can pick up his cheque without too much pain.

If Tony can make the weight on time, and safely - let's get it on!

    :thumbsup

I think his power is rated about right. He's not a murderous puncher ala Tyson but he can definitely get a man out of there with a combination of shots.

For me, going by his last couple of showings and the reaction on here to them.... he's becoming a bit underrated. Ajisafe spoilt all night and McKenzie is an avoided fighter who Tony decided he wanted to fight.

It's only the bull**** stoppage that detracts from a courageous come from behind win.

More importantly, Bellew has insane powers of recovery. That cannot be denied.

Having an extra 25lbs to strengthen his legs will help him though; I hope he moves up to Cruiser before long, I think that's his optimum weight.

IMO awell I think Tony Bellew is the type of fighter who will get better everytime he steps up in competition and his mind is totally on the fight.

Can't knock the guy's attitude can you? Fair ****ing play.

As Beeston said - would we really rather see some unkown Eastern European turn up just to filll the slot? Or an exciting fight between exciting fighters?

If they allow Bellew a couple of pounds given the notice I don't see why it can't happen.
