I hope that the Bellew fight happens, if Kennys not being considered. Sincerely it says a lot about Tony that he's willing to step up- personally I'd give him half a chance and worst case scenario he can bounce back.

Spot on. It's a fight they'll both be up for as well, the last thing I wanted to see was a repeat of Clev's last fight against some unknown Euro.

If Braehmer gets stripped as expected Cleverly will be the full champion, so yes. If they don't do that it could be for the vacant title as Warren will get Bellew a ranking, or just the interim title until Braehmer vacates.

while i agree tony should be comended i dont wanna see it happen. its a big fight that deserves more than 4 days notice.

if he fights sat no chance he fights mcenzie. stephen smith will replace him on that card.

Bellew is ranked No.14 by the WBO so not an issue.

Why does it have to be for the WBO strap? Make the fight at 180, even it up a bit for Tony coming in at short notice, non title. if Tony wins or it's close they can have a return at 175.

Nevermind the weight, would Bellew be fit enough? He's not supposed to be fighting til July

i kind of like the idea but a fight this big should be for a strap. I think Sky want the world title fight though.

If Tony is only 6.6 lbs over he must be in pretty good shape.

As for your first point, I disagree entirely. No one is calling for this fight anymore and Bellews stock has dropped big time since before Ajisafe and McKenzie, where some posters were saying he could spark Clev.

This is a quality replacement because Bellew will give it a go and he's easy to make a highlight/hype video for Sky. Some unknown European who will last the distance is not what anyone wants to see. They'd rather see Bellew come in, give it a go and go out on his shield.

As I say, with most, Tonys stock has fallen drastically in the last six-eight months. With a courageous performance here he can put himself back in peoples minds as a fighter to watch out for.

I never used to think it was the case, but I genuinely think a move up to Cruiser would benefit him. The fact he's only 6 1/2 lbs over is a good sign though, he must have made some big changes as of late.
