Topping my list would be a couple of guys that didn't really show their heart until their careers were almost done: Jermain Taylor and Riddick Bowe. I was also a huge fan of Margarito long before the Cotto fight. Monte Barret gets an honorable mention for dusting Tye Fields.

All my top all time favs are greats... I would have to go with Vargas very good and maybe could have been great if handled right or maybe not?? In his prime,he was as borderline as you could get to being an elite fighter. Little Red Lopez,Chacon are favs of mine who just get the nod on achieving greatness.

Ray Mercer was another of mine. Although he didn't have some of the natural skills of the greats, he had a punch and a hell of a chin. It was a shame he didn't have much heart. Round 6 or so and he could barely throw punches. Then he ballooned up like Buster Douglas. Shame. Probably could have gone a long way as a heavyweight of that era

Pernell Whitaker - I feel like he didn't achieve enough to be considered one of the best slippers since Willie Pep.

Also people may argue with me but I feel as though Willie didn't have the best head movement.People kinda sucked back in the old days. Like most fighters were throwing wild hooks.

VARGAS, even though he was the youngest champ wish he could perform vs top opposition.
