I just don't see how this fight makes sense if JJM was bloated against Floyd @ 145, qnd Pac hits harder than Floyd and Marquez is closer to 40 then 30 how the hell does this fight make sense? I took JJM word his we was bloated and looked bad against Floyd for it but to take another fight at that weight , and couple years older WTF
145? Floyd was 146, Marquez 142. Where did you come up with 145. The difference in size between Floyd and Pac is bigger than the difference between Pac and Marquez.
I thought Marquez and Floyd had a 145 catchweight agreement last I heard they did..... So how is 144 going to make a difference? since all the *******s claim that Marquez was blown up.
jmm's word is he thought floyd has 20 pounds on him at fight night. jmm would still be ineffective at any weight above 135 but the difference is, he would be weighing the almost the same come fight night with pacquiao unlike floyd.
Floyd weighed in at 146, not 145. 144 doesn't make much of a difference it just allows both fighters to train to be at their best for the fight without worrying about making weight.
Nahhh I was wrong, your right Floyd did fail to make the contracted weight we all know that, But I thought it was a catch weight of 145 I was wrong there it was 144. So at 144 you all say that the weight was too much for Marquez to carry, How suddenly is Marquez able to NOW carry that weight to fight Pacquiao for a third time? if he is bloated at 144 nearly 2 years ago, whats going to change now?
Mosley was too old and shot vs Floyd. Pacquiao fights him 1 year and 1 more disappointing fight later Marquez was bloated/slow at welter Pacquiao fights him 2 years later at welter. Just sad really.
This fight should be at 140 . i really hope this fight is not taking place at 147 pounds . I would be very dissapointed .
He has not bloated against Mayweather, his hand spped was still the same, put tremendous pressure on Floyd the whole 12 rounds, and even caught him with a couple of big right hands. The truth is Manny Pac fans has used that excuse to say he Marquez was bloated to discredit Mayweather victory, since May dominated from opening bell making a future hof fighter land only 12% of his punches, while Manny got embarrassed and luckily got 2 gift decisions against him. Rewatch the fight Marquez was competitive he was just fighting a higher legendary caliber fighter in May, and he will give problems to Manny again, quite honestly I feel this is his best chance to beat Manny, while people has been blinded by his well matched fights, they hardly notice since moving to 147 his stamina has sharply declined and usually gets tired round 6, and has to lay on the ropes to catch breathers.
JMM is past his best and Pac would dominate him at 144 or 140. To those of you crying that this fight is a sham, who else is there for Pac to fight?
marquez has no choice but to be 148 on fight night to compensate for the weight/size gap floyd has on him thus the term "bloated". marquez doesn't need to be 148 on fight night and come in lower because he knew pac won't be as big as floyd come fight night.
