    Dan Rafael :

While I don't think Ishida is a bad comeback opponent for Tall Paul, I also don't think an HBO main event is the proper outlet for it either. So good move by HBO.

HBO is right. i dont think we should be seeing mismatches on HBO, they should have competitive double headers no less

I agree but i do think this is worthy of a 2nd headliner to a title fight.

Wow.. Your right thought and so is HBO. This fight will probably be PPV only and how many people are gonna pay 50bucks for it?

Nope... Do it like they did it with Pavlik. 2nd fight on the card.

It's time they take Dmitry Pirog of their blacklist and get him in with Williams. The fight makes sense for both guys if HBO is looking to put the Punisher in a headlining quality fight.

If Pirog's too tough and they want him to get a soft touch for confidence, throw the lesser fight on the undercard instead.

Good! Williams can still fight him anytime, anyplace he wants. HBO doesn't have to show it.

I knew HBO would do this. Boxing ratings have been abyssmal the last few years and they've had to tighten up their game and only show the most compelling matchups. No more $2.5 million bids for crap like Dawson-Tarver II

Not a bad undercard fight for sure... trouble is, I think Williams has a contracted minimum with HBO that probably makes it too expensive to pay him and another headliner.

Why? This would have been a decent fight for BAD as a co-main event or something.

It could also be a major dud. HBO doesn't need to show any more of those.

It would be a good fight on a double header with a title fight on top.
