the difference in size between PBF and Pac is more than Pac and JMM

So why the double standard here?

It's bollocks, you know it is. Why make another thread about it though?

doesn't erase the difference in size.

Mayweather hides his fightnight weights these days for a reason. He wants people to keep thinking he is around 148-149 the way he was before he retired, but look at how much bigger, bulkier, and more muscular he looked in the ring pushing around Shane Mosley as compared to how slight he looked against Baldomir etc. I'd say he was minimum 156 in that fight.

He is heavier than Pac, taller than Pac, has a much longer reach than Pac, started at 130 as compared to starting at 106, and has weighed in at 150 before whereas the highest Pac has weighed in at was 145 for Clottey.

The size differences are much more than Pac and Marquez.

True but not having to cut weight is a major advantage for pac no? Unless you believe he would perform to the same level at 140, 135?

All true Mayweather is bigger than pac but pac is a welterweight now albeit a small on while JMM is a lightweight still think it will be a cracking fight btw

It's the same as Mayweather vs Marquez because of what the fighters look at the weigh in. In the rematch Pacquiao look much weaker then Marquez at the weigh in. And on fight night Pacquiao weigh in at 147 pounds in which he was far ahead of Marquez in the weight but most thought Marquez beat Pacquiao. At 144 pounds for the 3rd fight? Pacquiao will look much healther, better power, more muscles, better fatness. Pacquiao vs Marquez 3rd fight is just as a mismatch as it was Mayweather vs Marquez. Anybody disagree is a god damn ******ed.

It's because it's not normal to have a situation where the current lightweight champ and current number 1 welterweight both weigh the same.

Usually fights are judged by weightclass and pac is taking that out of the equation.

:huh I think Pac was 145 and Marquez was 141, so your point = fail.

I do feel he would perform the same level at 140, but slightly lower at 135.

And don't forget that JMM also no longer has to cut weight.

True i dont feel it will be one sided but Pac is a beast at this weight last time JMM fought above 135 he didnt look too good which could've possibly been down to the opponent in all honesty. It would've been better at 140 but still a good way to complete the trilogy for both these warriors im sure JMM doesn't mind the extra few lbs

One more thing Philla is this situation not to dissimilar to Mayweathers bout with Hatton it was fought at 147 but hatton was in the ring the same weight as his bouts at 140? Everyone made a big deal out of it at the time theres no consistency on this site which is sad as it stops reasonable discussion.

Last time JMM fought above 135, he fought a true WW, not a blown up LW/JrWW like Pac.
