Another point to mention is that his new trainer Mick McCallister will be making his professional training debut in a world title fight :admin

16 people thinking Bomber will win..He is Brtish level, i think his punch power is slightly overrated however if he lands that left like he did on mckenzie, clev could be in big trouble.Cleverly is a few levels above imo.

Basically this is Bellew's power against Cleverly's overall ability because of the fact Cleverly is fully ready and Bellew is not going to be in peak shape. So he's quite unlikely to get a great foothold in this fight IMO and I don't think he's going to have the stamina for 12 hard rounds. It's a matter of taking advantage of that leaky defence. He will get chances, plenty of them.

    CLev by UD...

Tonys only hope really is to knock him out, and i cant see it happening coz clevs a good boxer and has a lot of XP..

And i think Clev is a class fighter..

Fair ****in play to Bellew though, shows hes a bit of a nutjub and has a lot of belief... And if he does loose it would be understandable on a few days notice.. he has what other boxers need, a pair of bollox.. he aint scared to loose, put it all on the line...

Cleverly is the fave. He has had the training camp. He has the talent. However he has a leaky defence, Bellew can punch and he'll take his chance to shine. I'm enjoying the hype.

I think Cleverly does have the power to hurt him. Especially with his activity. Going in the ring with that attitude is never good, he can't be thinking like that it promotes sloppiness. The truth is Bellew probably has 6 rounds where he's going to be really dangerous. He's got to box well in that time, not just look for a single shot that usually never comes.

I said he tries to be cute, not that he implements it well.

I've never at any point said Haye is a ''****'' fighter. All I've said is that people are going overboard as to how good he is, and completely discounting any flaws he has.... assuming that all he's got to do is tap Wlad on the chin and the Gods will grant him victory.

    Miguel2010 I know you're in here :hey

    As for your other point.....

Haye IS a **** finisher. His one punch power is impressive, and is enough to account for most fighters in the division. It's when he jumps in afterwards to finish a guy off - he's absolutely WIDE open..... he doesn't give himself distance to punch properly, which would allow a more intelligent opponent the opportunity to hang on, and will empty his gas tank quicker.

His footwork is reasonably good, however he exaggerates his movements and leaves himself off balance at times. Against opponents that can control the range better he'd be caught out. I like Bellew's footwork (when he's not loading up for the fence) because it gets him out of harms way but leaves him in range to use hooks and short right hands. Less lunging.

Haye's defence again isn't THAT great. As with his footwork his head and body movements are exaggerated and look flash. But don't forget that he was repeatedly tagged by both Mormeck and Ruiz with jabs and right hands.

David is a pretty freakish athlete, but without question Bellew is the more textbook boxer of the two - a bit like comparing Roy Jones with Hopkins or Toney..... and has got by on his athletic attributes. That's great if you can achieve that, but I think his unorthodoxy will let him down against Klitschko.

Will Bellew become a world beater? I've got reservations as I'm sure everyone has. He loses his cool in the ring at times and forgets his skills. Maybe a defeat might do him good? Worked for Haye after all.

    Nice edit btw Rob ;)
