i am trying to be civil BB. I remember how your the only person that backed me up with Limmond. You say Hayes getting over rated. i think your over rating Bellew.
It depends how you interpret what I'm saying really. All I've done (I think) is give an indication of what I think are Bellew's strengths (which are his power and boxing skills) and his major weakness, which is his tendency to lose his cool. You are right in pointing out that Cleverly is clearly the more proven of the two, and that he should win this fight. But - Bellew's biggest strength matches up quite well with Cleverly's weakness.... It's not as if I'm going out on a whim and saying that Harrison will KO Haye.... despite all the evidence suggesting otherwise.... i.e. scared to throw punches against journeymen, a wet toilet paper chin and the heart of a mouse. As I've said, I think Cleverly will win, but I don't think people should write Tony off going by his last performance. When he was boxing against McKenzie he was dominating him easily..... and the finishing punch was a beauty. Sounded like a bomb going off, could hear it 30 rows back. Cleverly struggled with an average opponent last time in similar circumstances, though I think he'll be more ''up'' for this one, with it being a domestic battle and the history between the two.
Doubt it will be that early unless a bull**** stoppage is employed..saying that Frank Warren shows are ALWAYS early stoppages, based on bellews toughness and will i will say he might last about 6-8 rounds.
bellews got the beating of cleverly, bellew knows it & clev knows it. bellew has always been vocal in his belief of bein able to beat clev. clev has barely ever responded. clev looked intimidated by bellew when bellew stormed into that post fight press conference after the mckenzie fight & sat there picking his nose. clev would not have agreed to this fight if bellew had had a full training camp behind him. clev sees this as him havin a serious advantage over bellew but even when this fight is done & dusted (and if tony loses) i still think bellew has got his number. i know it, tony bellew knows it & deep down clev knows it too.
Im really suprised with how many are going with a Bellew stoppage, Cleverly has got a granite chin this is quite obvious and Bellew will never out box Cleverly i see it a one way beating with Cleverly winning round 7..... I really think Bellew has no chance of out boxing Cleverly his one chance is a KO and i dont see him doing that either.
If you can fight, you can fight and bellew knows how to fight. His only chance is clev going too macho and getting ko'd early. Clevs fight to lose, he'll be safe early on and finish bellew in style.
i think its the performances against Bob Asjafe and Ovil Mckenzie why people are picking Bellew over Cleverly :happy
I dont think he will knock Cleverly out, i will be well suprised if he wins.... Cleverly is a step up for him we will see how he gets on i hope he knocks the ****ing Taff out by i dont see him winning... :happy
I think he's got balls, I think his mouth makes him exciting but strictly what he's done in the ring he's light years from Cleverly
No unders/overs out there yet. Best priced clev stoppage @ 8/11, Bellow ditto 9/2. Some huge numbers for Bellow early though. 1-3 16/1 1-4 10/1 1-6 15/2 No way this goes 12 !!
Karo Murat caught him with a couple of bombs and it had no effect what so ever and Murat had quite a few stoppages on his record.
Agree mate he had epic struggles with Ovil and Bob, if anyone is getting stopped saturday its probably Bellew
