True but the point is that there is more to a fight in terms of build up excitement and anticipation than taking a fighter A and fighter B who appear to be of an equal standard and put them in a ring together.

Steve Cunningham the Cruiser? He ain't at 'that' level either, he's well overrated IMO. Well, was, what has he done of late? He's pretty solid, game and full of heart, but does nothing spectacular. Is the best Cruiser at the mo'? Based on beating Huck a few years ago and getting beaten up by Adamek, probably yes, but Lebedev looks best bet for me. I think he'll decisively beat Huck in a rematch. And I can't see Clev, with his defence, moving up to take on Lebedev anytime soon.

He'll never get to B-Hop level, no, he's an ATG. Clev could do as well as say, Woods IMO. Sturdy, win some, lose some, but never dominating a division.

Then again, I could be wong. Clev has time on his side. He appears to have a good chin as well, which bodes well for his ability to take on tough fights and for his longevity.

    Fingers crossed, eh :good

I am optomistic about Cleverly's chances at the higher level. He is still very young and nieve at times. Would love to see him with a new trainer etc. Think he has something about him though.

Not many would have expected Hatton or Calzaghe to become legit champions either or Pascal for that matter. He is way ahead of where they were at the same stage/age.

Yeh. which is exactly my point. Bellew vs Cleverly would have been better if we had 8 weeks of this. Press confrences and interview banter. the fight has been microwaved instead of cooked.

be fair to Clev thats not his fault. he was more tah prepared to fight the champion. its not a chavez/alvarez situation thats far worse in my opinion.

I only voted for Braehmer because I only want to see the belt be won in the ring.

Kudos to Bellew and all involved for getting such a good fight on at such short notice.
