I've not seen much of Jim Macdonell, but from what I have seen I do not like him.

I used to like Jim Macdonell, when he used to commentate on screensport, and had a lot of respect for the way he fought against Azumah Nelson, but since he's been with De Gale, I've seen a side to him that I dont like, lost a lot of respect for him since.

Smith a world class fighter, he barely won the British title, infact its debatable whether he did win it imo.

He was jumping around like an asbolute muppet today at the press conference. His camp have been saying that Groves is just saying what Booth and Haye are telling him to say, all we seen at the press conference was Mcdonnell whispering is Degales ear telling him what to say. The both of them are absolute clowns and Mcdonnell speaks like an absolute tart also !

The bet is ****ed up from groves. As others have mentioned he couldve got better odds at the bookies... But even it is all about making the other man lose out... Even then it's ****ed up. Who's to say the referee or judges might not have a big ****ing say in who wins... Especially with it being warren promoted, there's plenty of history with referees like Paris stepping in early to give warren fighter the W. Even if they did 60/40 or whatever proportion based on a KO, even that leaves the outcome with the referee and I would not trust any referee in a warren backed bout.

Even bhop and rjj agreed 60/40 for KO winner as bhop in particular did not want to leavevit to judges. Bhop has also made lots of $$$$ betting on himself to win, like in trinidad fight. Groves should have put condition in for a KO victory only.

Although having said that, the bet can't really be enforced, it's not part of any contract and at the end of the day, that's all that matters.

 

DeGale and MacDonell, what a pair of complete and utter wankers. I hope Groves batters the pair of them, DeGale in the ring, MacDonell outside of it.
