Floyd's win over Oscar @ 154 is better than _anything_ on Pacquiao's resume since the Morales loss..

Yeah, you've said all that already.

What I want to know is why you think Floyd's wins over Mosley and JMM are better than Manny's wins over Mosley, Clottey, Cotto, Hatton and Margarito?

I really want to hear this. I think I must be missing something.

Manny took Hatton when it was clear Hatton was there for the pickings and lets be real, Ricky hasnt beat NOBODY, he did lose to Collazo thats real and was dropped by him and Collazo cant break and egg with a ****ing bat.

his win over Cotto is decent, I wont argue that, but look at the amount of punishment Miguel has taken through out his career he has been in some wars.... Not to discredit but to point out he has some miles on that body lets not forget there was a catchweight here to.

The win he does have over Margarito is probably his best win IMO as Margarito was a highley avoided Welter, in which Floyd ducked.. However you can also refer to the Cotto theory, Margarito has much more abuse on his body and really hasnt looked the same since his fight with Cotto...do not forget this was a catchweight fight

The Mosley fight, well we saw what we saw, and if you want to compare Floyds win to Mannys win feel free I think they are about even to be honest I give Floyd a slight edge here and this is why....

Floyd fought him a year fresher, sure Floyd got cracked in round 2, but he also landed at a higher rate than Manny did against Mosley and IMO landed much cleaner shots.

So you can argue Mosley did better cus he landed a good shot and hurt Floyd in round two, but at the end of the day in my eyes Floyd landed alot cleaner and at a higher rate and that has to count for something as well.

    I don't recall saying that.

I do recall asking; what has Pacquaio done since the Morales loss to be rated above Floyd P4P?

Oscar is one of my all-time favourite fighters, so I'm glad to see that you rate the 2007 version of him so highly. Not sure why a split decision over an old part-timer in 2007 would have much bearing on the current P4P list though. It has some, sure, but this is the win you're basing Floyd's case on? That kind of shows how weak your argument is.

Actually, Floyds wins over Corrales, and Castillo hold alot of weight, his win over Oscar, lets be honest Floyd did not demand a catchweight, he fought on Oscars terms, ring size glove size and type the whole bit he did not demand some insane catchweight or a large ring he fought him straight up and though I had him lossing the fight close, he sure didnt feel he needed any help from catchweights ring size or gloves to win.

I don't disagree with any of this, because there are positives and negatives about any opponent, but most would agree Manny's recent body of work represents the best in the sport. Floyd's win over Mosley is really good, but it's certainly not clearly better than Manny's win over Hatton, Cotto, Margarito, maybe not even Clottey. So yeah, I just don't see why that guy is arguing in vain against the obvious fact that Manny is rightly regarded as #1, based on the that comparison of recent wins.

Can you please explain to me why you think Hatton is a great win for either guy? I mean seriously he beat a shot washed up KT, and barely did so to be honest with you.

I don't really see much relevance in this to the current P4P debate, though. If we are judging fighters positions on the P4P list based on the whole career than it would be chaos and Roy Jones would be troubling the top.

The Corrales and Castillo thing, I'm comfortable with the idea that Barrera and Morales were signifigantly better than JLC & Chico, sums up well that particular part of a resume comparison.

Floyd's win over DLH is a good one, no doubt about that. DLH was old and part time, but he was still a classy operator at 154 even in 2007.

If you have to ask this question then you really don't deserve an answer.

A prime Chico IMO would mop the canvas with Morales and Barerra but thats just My opinion, a prime castillo may end up seriously ending one of those two....
I disagree with you on that....

    Why?

Because Floyd was essentially a lightweight fighting a near prime Oscar _at his most confortable weight_ of 154lbs - and Oscar was coming off of the Mayorga KO.

JMM doesnt FIGHT at 135lbs, he fights at 145lbs, he weighs in at 135. He will be outweighed at most 3lbs. He drains himself of water to 135 to make weight. He's essentially the same size as Pac, all he has to do is not dehydrate himself as he doesnt have to worry about making weight...but that dont mean not loose the fat.
