See that part? That is your problem. Not to mention, boxing is a freelancers sport that involve promoters and broadcasters that often have as much often MORE power than sanctioning bodies.

So many sports, like cycling, volleyball, track, etc have one UNIFIED governing body that set standards and rules. And if they don't, other bodies are usually respectful of the other bodies.

This is NOT the case for boxing.

And guest what, who you think will pay for this? Boxers from their purse. And guest what, they will balk on it.

So NO, it is not easy for professional boxing.

It should be up to the fighters. If one asks and the other wants to fight? It should be honored. If they are willing to bang without it? Fine too.

What I don't want to see is fighters who don't have the means to afford it forced to always require it. Guys starting out get paid too little as it is.

And you are the same idiot who doesn't think it should be done for a fight where guys are guaranteed a MINIMUM of 20 million each.

You Sir are full of crap! :deal:bart

I won't discredit what you said about EPO because I don't know enough about its effectiveness in regards to time but I've read time and time again that EPO is tested through URINE! If you can find anything to refute that then please do so. Blood testing is cheaper and is done to find elevated EPO but then once that is known, they go and do a URINE test to make sure.

So in regards to your argument about EPO being effective, that could be but a URINE test is still the way to go in testing it. Therefore, it has nothing to do with blood testing.

I figure a pharma student would know that. *shrugs*

Too invasive. Blood drawn every week, plus a cut during fight is more blood drawn. As well as cutting weight. Did OSDT get Marion Jones during the olympics? She was clean till she retired and she did OSDT that did blood test. The only thing that comes close to detect. Hgh is a urine test called nanotrap

Yes, why not!??? It is run of the mill in athletics - who are setting the standard year upon year so why not follow in its footsteps.

The younger generations (grassroots) need to learn that drugs are dangerous and can **** your life up. It is an artificial high which will inevitably bring you and others down.
