Robinson hit too hard & had too many weapons offensively for Norris have any serious chance of winning IMO.
People are looking too much into Robinson's power and not other factors. Yes he could hit very hard but Norris got reckless often and Robinson could adapt well and is the one of the greatest combination punchers on film. Robinson was a good technician, smart, could over obstacles to win, and had very fast hands even into his 30's with above average power. Norris doesn't make it past the 4th round. If Robinson blitzes him then he gets the 1st or 2nd round ko but I think he would wait and take him out in the 3th or 4th.
WHy does every one match Norris up with great fighters who could Punch? We know the most likely out come.. Why doesnt anyone match him with greats with average or below average power? How about WInky,Giardello,Holman WIlliiams, Benvenuti,Basillio?
I match Norris for amusement... Can any fighter with that bad of a chin be even considered for all time great match ups ?
SRR would play with Norris and take him out in 3... As soon as SRR decides to plant his shots, fight over. One of the greatest knockout fighters in history when a man was hurt, against one of THE worst chins in history... SRR in a laugher
Well, he found enough time to give his opinion on this matchup... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=172988
