OK... we'll get this one out of the way... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3nKE8LME4sQ[/ame] Who else comes to mind?
Golota lands some horrible body shots on Po'uha. Canizales's KO or Ramos has to be the winner though. Jesus.
I was going to post Floyd Patterson's body punch knockout of Charley Green, but I just realized it was a left hook body punch that did it.
Eddie Futch sed Tony Zale had the hardest right hand to the body of any middleweight hed ever seen. Works for me!
Obviously, Tyson had that right hook to the body which he followed up with the right uppercut to the head. Arguello had a wicked right uppercut to the body. Pedroza had the bolo right uppercut to the body and nuts. Mayweather throws nice short uppercuts to the body. I can only imagine how Lamon Brewster's left side felt after his fight with Sergei Liakhovich. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PjuXgo8icuE[/ame]
Agreed. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=opHSUGJEECI[/ame] @ 6:15 on. Those rights to the body debilitated Graziano but also set him up those wicked left hooks. Zale could punch like hell.
can I invert the question somewhat and answer by throwing out a southpaw who has a great left to the body? I'm going to anyhow, Gushiken, he used his straight left to the body as an actual boxing tool rather than as heavy artillery. He would circle and spring into action with a left cross to the body and follow it up with a right hook over the top and it just put the whole leverage in his favour, the poise, the balance, he'd just back ****ers up after that and pound them.
