Wrong. Marquez weighing in at 126 or 135 at the official weigh-in and weighing 145lb at fight night means he rehydrated with fluids.

Pacquaio has obviously gained some muscle since his 126 pound days. This is also obvious in pictures people are posting, you must be terribly blind. In a 147 pound fight Pacquiao weighs in over 140 pounds of lean body weight and cannot make 126 or 135lbs anymore. Is that too hard for you to understand, or you just plain dumb?

Pacquio has been fighting at welterweight for some time now and its QUITE OBVIOUS he's put on muscle since his lightweight days. Marquez fought once at welter, and he looked like a 135lb fighter with water weight added to make him 140+. Which is EXACTLY what happened, how he looked, and why he was so sluggish against Mayweather.

He's not going to be facing a 126lb Pacquiao like last time. His body weight may be 145 pounds by fight night, maybe a pound more than Pacquio, but you're a dumbass if you think that makes him "bigger" than Pacquaio who will have a much more leaner, muscular frame.

Compare Marquez's fat ass weight at 144lb against Mayweather against pacquio's 144lb recent weigh ins. THAT ITSELF tells you the whole picture and why this thread is pure fail.

who cares, Marquez will never be as strong, will never have as much power, will never be faster

that's why he's a cut below Pacquiao as far as greatest fighters of this era

JMM weighed in at 142, while Mayweather, 146. They were SUPPOSED to meet at 144 till Floyd said **** it...

That's even worse for marquez, at 142lbs he looked really bloated.

Mate, sorry - I didn't mean that to be offensive, i just meant that there's no way that Pac's body doesn't require as much fluid as JMM's. Therefore if you was to take the same amount of fluid from each fighter then they'd weigh roughly the same.

In my own thread on this topic I acknowledged the benefit of not cutting weight - but this time Juan-Manuel has that advantage too.

As I said earlier, I think JMM has a great chance in this fight.

He's the same fighter from a year or so ago when most of the Floyd fanboys where claiming Pac was ducking a guy he already fought twice.

No offense taken, we all have our own takes and as long as the argument is cordial its all good for sure. You make good points, on a literal note they are about the same size, I just don't think JMM carries it as well is all. I'm pulling for him though and would love to be treated to a great fight instead of a one sided borefest. :good

Everybody's body is different, and you seem to be forgetting Pacquiao still gains weight on fight night. If you knew anything about a fighter's weight, you'd know fighters need to drink as much water as they can between the official weigh in and actual fight time. That's why Pacquiao weighed 144lbs for Margaritio at the official weigh in, yet 148lbs at fight night.

The weigh in matters jack. If it matters more on fight night weigh in then Oscar should have beat Floyd. Morales should have beat Barrera. Morales should have beat Pacquiao in all 3 fights, Clottey should have beat Pacquiao, Cotto should have beat Pacquiao, Hatton should have beat Pacquiao, Mosley should have beat Pacquiao. <<<But yet all didn't happen cause the weigh in on a day before the fight is what really matters of how the fighters look pure and simple.

Pacquiao vs Marquez 3rd fight is a clear mismatch in Pacquiao favor cause in the 3rd fight Pacquiao won't have to worry about making the weight in which he can eat right, gain more muscle, more fatness. In the rematch Pacquiao look really drain in which it shows when most people including myself thought Marquez beat Pacquiao.

They are the SAME size, but Pacquiao has proven that he is better at higher weights. That's why people see this as an unfair fight.

Well, Marquez has only had one fight at welterweight and, unlike Pacquiao will, Mayweather outweighed him by 20lbs according to Marquez.

Marquez has been fighting guys who are exactly the same size as Pacquiao. What was Katsidis' weight on fight night against Marquez? I'm sure he was the bigger man, wasn't he? If that's right, he's also bigger than Pacquiao.

true, the problem is marquez cuts to make 135, then rehydrates, whereas pac doenst cut weight, he comes in at 144 and rehydrates 4 lbs big difference in how you would be feeling the next day.
