Floyd Mayweather Jr claims people want to see him lose because they're racist

I was being sarcastic that they edited it to make the black guy look bad since apparently according to some idiots in this thread, the media makes black people look bad intentionally......

 

I didn't say they were hated because they're black. I said them being black plays a role in why they are hated so much.

Couldn't disagree more. Jordan is black as black as it gets. How come he isn't hated? For crying out loud he was named Athlete of the Century!

People hate Floyd Mayweather because he acts like an immature child.. he fights once a year and demands 100 million dollar paydays.. And he's a safety first fighter! He also beats women.

Had I said that White people hate black athletes because they're black, then you would have a point. I didn't say that though. My point was that whites are more likely to have a negative opinion of blacks than they are of other white people. That doesn't mean they hate every black person. However it will lead to them judging blacks, in general, more harshly than other whites.

 

You can start by telling to the Mayweathers it's Pacquiao not Poochiao.

Agreed. Even most of the arguments made here present that same sort of arrogance as if they have walked in Mayweather's shoes or most black men's shoes in america. And attemps are made to clarify said black man on his own experiences in America. But that is the pathology of white privilege that Tim Wise gives an excellent lecture on.

But for me all of that is much to deep and expansive for a boxing form. I like the fact that this issue is being disscused, but its venue leaves to much space for justifiable ignorance.
