Maybe to the casual fans.. But those wins are tainted to alot of "Real boxing fans" we all know those werent prime versions.. The Holyfield he beat was still good but faded.... As for Vitali well hes been dominant since and if Lewis had not beaten him, do you know how many Klitchko fanatics would insist that he would have beat Lewis? As it is they want to argue about the stoppage and what would have happen, even though his eye was damn near falling out, and that he was busted up by punches....

Looks like Vitali is gonna keep on dominating until he wants to, and will end up being regarded as a very dominant champion.. Even more so than his brother.. Because regardless of Wlads long streak he was kod by Brewster and Sanders.... Vitlai hasnt legitimately been beaten by anyone but Evander... Yes Byrd has the win but Vitali was beating him till he hurt his arm... At the time it was a good win, but in time it will add to his legacy,.. And no one can ever say Vitali was greater or that he would have beat Lewis.

not his best win. But at the end of his career, clearly out of shape against a young fighter that was actually bigger then him, it showed he still had balls!

Technically it is.. but I'd still say Holyfield was the fight that made him and he will be remembered for.

I personally think it is his most exciting win. While its not his career defining win,
Lewis was getting ripped up and came back to stop Vitali. The shots that Lewis connected with to cut Vitali's eye along with that sick uppercut showed his talent. Now look at
how dominant Vitali is and a faded Lewis opened him up. It makes his legacy that much
    sweeter.

No his luckiest win is over Bruno....

The Vitali win rates up there But I think his best win is over Holyfield who at the time was on top of the boxing world...

HOLYFIELD surely!!!??? FFS VK has beaten **** all competition since! Went 12 rounds with a massive fat and old Shannon Briggs.

Has to be the unification with Holyfield.

Probably/maybe yes, I don't read much into his wins over long past it fighters like holyfield and Tyson...Golota was big, Ruddock was big, Mercer (even though I think Mercer won), Shannon Briggs, Tua, etc., those are some truly great wins...

How can a "best win" be on an opponents injury?

Yes, and no. Yes because Vitaly was the best whom he ever faced. No, because he was not actually winning when the fight was stopped.

Arguably, yes it is. It's extremely underrated when his legacy is considered, I feel. I consider the Holyfield and Vitali wins to be on a similar level here. For what it's worth, at the time I would not have said that but with time, I eventually came around to that way of thinking. It's rationally, arguably his best win.

It's close to on par to a past prime Holyfield which is his best win, and it's better than his win over a washed up Tyson. I'd say its his 2nd best win since Holyfield accomplished a lot against meaningful opponents and wasn't overly past his prime unlike Tyson and Vitali's been dominant in a very weak division no fault of his own but that's how it is.
