Shane's finding out the hard way how fickle fans and the media can be to some guys. The guy has given his all to the sport for over 15 years. He's taken on all challengers and he's always aimed to please the fans. He's also a relatively quiet guy who isn't very arrogant and doesn't talk much trash.

Now, he's 39, clearly washed up, and coming off of two bad perfromances going into the Pac fight. He obviously had no business being in there and he found that out real quick. So instead of going balls to the wall and getting his brains beat in, he decides go out on his feet. Now you would think that after everything thing he's done people would be like "well, Mosley has done a lot, he's 39 and should be retired, so we can give him a pass for this one bad performance." Instead, he's getting trashed by everyone. Even Pacquiao, whose ass he kept kissing leading up to, during, and after the fight, trashed him.

:lol:What do you mean? Shane did run lets not forget about that but he did stand in front of Manny a lot...doing nothing. He fought to survive and it made for a dull fight.

Good post. It's amazing how many so called "fans" have lots of short term memory.

Shane has not lost that right since he didn't expect to get defensive minded and physically-mentally gun shy after being tagged and dropped in the third round. Happens that he was tryin to adjust and play smart with defensive blocking, skipping, jabbin and setting str8 right hands and sliding at effective punching distance. He was not prepared to get tagged so many times in the process and therefore, he lost his offensive attitude naturally and in real time. He was very honest about it in the post fight.

meh. Pacquaio has this same effect on a lot of fighters. Like Donaire has said, "Manny has no rhythm." "It's very hard to time him and figure out what he's doing." I just think his awkward timing, along with his heavy hands, tend to get his opponents out of their gameplan.

If anything else, he's lost the right to fight in any meaningful fight.

the mistake we made was thinking Mosley is a hard puncher. His power was overrated on his win over Margarito. In reality it was his speed which was his greatest asset, and that was gone a few years ago.

If you think Mosley is a coward, you are not a fan of boxing and you are a total ****. Fans are so fickle is crazy. Dude gave his heart and soul to the sport, gave us a ton of good fights. You mother ****ers act like this guy was Naseem Hamed. He was quite, humble, and all he wanted to do his entire career was fight the best, even if it meant not getting the most amount of money he could get. All you can do is respect that, yet 90 percent of you pussies and so called fans talk ****. You guys should be shot in the ****ing head.
