its crazy, as time goes by... Klitschkos become mentioned in the same sentence as Ali, Foreman, Lewis... They will definitely be ATG's 10-20 yrs from now... and their surname will be synonymous with the greatest... I can see it happening already..
It is his greatest escape, no doubt. Unlike the great escape artists of the past he did not have the courage to try the trick a second time. He quite possibly would have wound up like Houdini(sp)...
DONT BE SAD............. I THINK U SAD BECAUSE A FADED LENNOX SENT VITALI TOO SEE A PLASTIC SURGEON.....ITS A FACT......IM SORRY ABOUT YOUR RUDE COMMENTS TO ME/ I FORGIVE U....GOD DAMN AGRESIONAL PEOPLE:smoke
That fight was a big step up for Lewis, with Lewis actually being the underdog, but the way he blew Ruddock away is what was most impressive.
I vote no. Behind on all three scorecards and winning because the Doc stopped it from a cut can't be considered his best win IMO (Not taking away from the win a win is a win no matter how you slice it) Also, I've never seen a boxer so haunted by a victory as LL appears to be with Vitali. I'd vote for his two avenging victories over McCall and Rahman. Very important wins to his legacy. He can say he defeated everyone he ever faced and retired on his own terms as Champion. Shout out for his win against Tyson. In hindsight, it's easy to say that Tyson was shot but at the time, most of the world still regarded Tyson as the "Baddest man on the planet" and LL beat him to a pulp tarnishing Tyson's legacy.
Your best win can't be when you're past prime, not as fit as you could be, and verging on overweight! This fight does help his legacy significantly though as it shows how good Lewis was in his prime in the way that he could despatch of a very good fighter in Vitali when past it.
