Could Joe Calzaghe even make it the distance with a prime Roy Jones?

    1) Jaw was not disgraceful in his prime, it was about average. The Antonio Tarver shot was just the perfect punch, and like some boxers who have been KO'd their chins are never the same... it happens it is just part of the sport.

    2) I would need an example of when he couldn't adapt in his prime. I find it hard to believe that someone who was 49-1, with the only loss on his record being questionable DQ, was unable to adapt.

    3) I would say beating griffin in the way he did after getting DQ and winning the HW title could be considered overcoming adversity.

    4) Can't really refute that one although the PED he took was an over the counter product. Also the one time he tested positive his opponent did too which kind of makes it a wash.

And to clarify my last comment, jones would win by a TKO if he was in his prime when he knocked joe down. Joe would get tattooed by punches when he got up and the ref would stop the fight soon after.

    Prime RJJ > Prime Cal

RJJ by decision or late TKO

KDs happen in boxing, but lets remember Calzaghe got up straight away when ever he got knocked down and fought on nom probs. Just look at the state of Jones when he got knocked down by Del Valle

Another ridiculous point as Calzaghe was up straight away and fought on no holding. Jones hit Calzaghe with a massive uppercut in round 6 which Calzaghe walked through. Forget that :patsch. Calzaghe wasnt prime and nearer to the end of his career than Jones, yet made Jones look foolish :smoke

By the way imagine what a PRIME calzaghe would have done to jones before the hand injuries when his punch power was at its best.
People seem to forget it wasnt just jones coming to the end of his career so was calzaghe
I wish we had seen calzaghe v jones or hopkins years ago and shut these ignorant people who just think calzaghe wouldnt have a chance

I would have loved to see jones and hopkins in with Eubank, benn and calzaghe even steve collins for that matter lets see them in a tear up when those guys were also at their best
Just wish it had happened, they chose not take on our guys for a reason

Calzaghe and jones were both past their best at that stage
    That gets forgotton
It wasnt just jones coming to end of career
And calzaghe was fighting only second time at the weight also
