why are people saying that above 135 jmm is not effective? his fight night weight for the last two years has been in the mid 140's. sure he didn't look good against floyd, but who wouldn't.

 

May not faster than JMM at lower weight. Remember he said Judah was supah fast. I seen the Judah/JMM tapes JMM much much faster.

Well, it happened 3 years ago atsch later that year Pacquiao went up to fight DLH

It's a good and competitive fight !

 

It's a Pacquiao fight so automatically it will be hated on by certain sections. Doesn't matter many of these same haters were crying for it over the Mosley fight, and were accusing Pac of ducking Marquez because he wanted nothing to do with his style again. It's an intriguing fight, with history and a rivalry behind it. We'll see if Marquez can be as effective and pose as much of a problem against the best and strongest version of Pacquiao. Definately will be buying it.

 

Personally, watching his performance against the likes of diaz and katsidis @135 (i was expcting him then to handle those guys with ease as those two are tailor made for his style) made me believe that he'll have a hard time competing at the higher weight, add also the age factor.

 

All good points...I just don't like the matchup at this weight. If the 3rd fight was going to happen, it should have happened right after the Hatton fight at the latest.
