You need a refresher on your neanderthal anthropology, see Wikipedia:

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neanderthal_genome_project"]Genetic evidence[/ame] suggests [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neanderthal_admixture_theory"]interbreeding[/ame] took place with [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homo_sapiens"]Homo sapiens[/ame] (anatomically modern humans) between roughly 80,000 and 50,000 years ago in the [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Middle_East"]Middle East[/ame], resulting in 1–4% of the genome of people from [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurasia"]Eurasia[/ame] having been contributed by Neanderthals.[url][4][/url][url][5][/url]

This information hasn't convinced all of the anthropogists yet. But DNA is an irrefutable proof. Eurasian do have some neanderthal ancestry but its traits are long gone.

If you are interested to the subject, the origin of the Homo Sapiens is quite a mystery.
Have you ever heard of mitochondrial DNA? It's a small piece of DNA that is outside of the nucleus, but still inside the cell. Its peculiar property is that it passes down generation to generation with very little alteration. In theory, we can date back at the time the humans as a race were born (the missing link). And guess what, it only dates back to somewhere 200,000 years ago instead of 6,7 or 8 millions that we are used to hear.
This date corresponds to the birth of the Homo sapiens. So we are indeed very special.

Yeah, it looks like most here aren't up to date on the last few years' developments in anthropology. The evidence is stacking that having Neanderthal genes (and all people today except pure sub-Saharan Africans do) is a positive thing for adaptation and survival. Both Lebedev and Roy have Neanderthal genes given that Roy is clearly not 100% sub-Saharan African.

Calling a white guy a 'Neanderthal' is no longer an insult. 99%+ of the people reading this board are hybridized neanderthal-homo sapiens (some likely even have denisovan genes), and that includes the vast, vast majority of African Americans.

Hybrid or not, none of us are really close to chimps when we compare ourselves to our real ancestors.

You are absolutey spot on. To dig things further, go look at Lloyd Pye's videos on youtube. This guy is a lunatic, but his analysis of the homo sapiens morphology is very interesting. And with the recent discoveries about us having neanderthal genes, makes his allegations about the origins of the homo sapiens serious enough to investigate further (he says we were genetically engineered!:nut).

I think Jones will surprise people. Not saying he's going to win, but I can't see this being another 1-rounder.

It seems like every single fight people say "Roy is going to surprise us", "roy will win", "he has one last great performance". It seems that some people just don't want to except the fact that everyone's time passes.

That Alekseev-Lebedev video shows a guy who definitely stands in range to be hit. In two minutes of that video, both guys stood right inside the other's firing range and basically just kept jabbing each other in the face until Lebedev finally unloaded one.
I would steer very clear of predicting a Jones win, but if Lebedev doesn't have great whiskers, and he stands taht close to Roy just pawing out a jab, interesting things could happen.
Conversely, if Roy stands that close to Lebedev and behaves like Alekseev did, it will be worse for him than it was for Alekseev.
