that was gonna be my next point.
Khan has had a LOT of dubious stoppages. i mean he would have gone on to win most of those by ko anyway, but the ref's sour it by stepping in. the same can be said for DeGale. thats why i can really see a premature one tomorrow.

sky needs to stop this ****ing predictable punditry.
be honest for ****s sake if its a BS stoppage then SAY it is!

let the fighters win the fights themselves.
a ref stoppage should not occur in the first 6 rounds anyway! unless the guys terribly hurt!

rounds 9/10/11/12 i can understand if a fighter is exhausted and getting tagged badly. thats a different story again.
but here my heart is in my mouth every time a fighter connects cleanly with a couple of punches

The refs seem to be overbearing at the moment. One of my biggest gripes is them thinking their job is something other than to officiate the bout and stop it if/when a fighter is unableto continue. i.e. he can't defend himself or is actually knocked out.

They seem to have this mentality where the non house fighter or large underdog is subject to different rules. As soon as a decent shot lands that may or may not shake them and they're on the ropes defending themselves, all the home fighter has to do is throw a flurry of any description to earn a stoppage. Yet you can guarantee if the guy that is expected to win or house fighter is hurt, they will get every single opportunity available to recover. They need to realize its not their job to ref by expectations or heavily by preconceived ideas to the extent they're making really poor decisions based on them.

I'm fed up of them and especially the board who are ultimately responsible taking the **** out of fans and insulting our intelligence. There is no accountability for the board or the refs themselves, mistake after mistake nobody cares and the broadcaster covers them up.

Frankie Gavin against a French (I think?) bloke was another good one, with about 10 seconds of the fight left. Just upped and decided to give a stoppage victory, makes the numbers look better dunnit ;)

Just watched Williams Martinez 2 and watched the ref count to 10 whilst Paul was out cold. The contrast is surreal.

Yeah, costing me 400 quid in the process. The turd. That was a young ref as well. There is a conveyor belt of robots coming out the BBBoC it seems that all ref in this manner. It does make you wonder whether the agenda is to simply be puppets for the promoters. It's no wonder people go for conspiracy theories, week after week after week of poor stoppages and decisions that are just 'WTF'.

Yup. Something will end up being dodgy. Too big a domestic fight not to.

I'm not sure it's the Watson factor, more likely cheque in the post from mr warren whIch causes them to end bouts early... And let's not forget also at times give the right man a chance to comeback.

Off The top of my head I remember khan being in no state to continue after first knockdown of Prescott fight, and plenty of times the fight would have been stopped if it was the other way around and khan was dishing it out.

Also the **** you see with referees buying time for the fighter out on his feet - prime example when Lewis was smashing a static bruno who was doing his usual thing when he gets hurt - standing there one eye closed taking every shot flush completely out of it - and the referee has a "word" with Lewis to tell him to stop hitting Bruno ... Wtf? Similar to the Canadian ref who helped bute survive against Andrade in their first fight... Unfortunately this tactic didn't help Bruno much.

Then you have the bull**** calzaghe-manfredo type stoppages where people are robbed from seeing a good fight, just to ensure home fighter gets the W.

I have to say, IMO American refs seem to be the fairest. They do make mistake like Cortez trying to bigger than thecfighters but guys like bayliss are top quality... Although he made a little mistake in PAC-Mosley recently with that bs knockdown.

I definitely can see groves being stopped while taking a flurry of pitta parra slappy type shots.

Bute vs Andrade was worse than anything we've seen here.

I've never seen a referee place himself between the fighters when one is running away to make it harder for the other guy to catch up with him.... like we saw that night.

Then the ''get in the corner!'' x10 instead of counting. Bull****.

I dunno, if Degale is to be belived, Groves has a disgraceful glass chin and will crumble after the first jab.

Bruno-Lewis is nothing like the Bute farce.

Watch it from 4:20 and tell me that what Lewis was doing was legal.
