hatton-mayweather, haye-klitscho are PPV, two up and comers with 20 fights between them are not.
the definition of a PPV is a fight that becomes an event, that involves and excites the casual fan, get half a dozen people together, order a ruby and all chip in for the fight.
i think old fank is great for boxing at times and i would like to see this scrap but i cant help feeling hes taking the **** this time.

I'm buying for Groves-Degale. It's worth 15 quid to me, wouldn't be happening at all without the PPV.

 

So, have we decided who the "true" boxing fans are? The ones that are buying, or the ones that aren't?

That's not true though. Groves was mandatory for the title and DeGale didn't want to vacate/avoid him. It was always gonna happen.

Unfortunately it is a fight so many want to see that it sold out the o2 quite quickly and as Bobby P's thread a while ago stated, this was always gonna affect the standard of the undercard and ppv bill.

 

Not feeling the morning buzz for this.

I agree with Roe, This whole card is bollocks its not as if the fighters are going to be getting millions for this fight, so there is no way good old Fwank can say this is PPV worthy!!! PPV was meant to be reserved for superfights.... With all due respect this is cleverly v (anybody) and a british title fight which would normally be shown on Friday night fights...... :verysad

 

well,ok,lets put it this way,if i was skint(or the wife was not paying for it) i would not buy it,but im not skint and the wifes buying it anyway,so i win.:thumbsup

also,im recording it,im out on the ****,so it may be on in town,so i can watch it in town while pissed,get a kebab,watch it when home eating my kebab,wake up in morning,forgot who won,watch it again with a coffee.

so at the end of it,its only cost me a fiver,cos i watched it 3 times:think:huh:huh:nut

You hit the nail on the head. I dont like paying for PPV and I cant count on my fingers the number of times I have. For the big mega fghts Id pay but for these 2 young upstarts, bah! Sky and greedy just go so well together.
