TBH I didn't particularly rate Guerrero before Katsidis but he put on a brilliant display but it wouldn't be right for me to go off the back of one fight against a one dimensional fighter like Kats to say Robert beats Khan.

I think it's amusing that the Khan's and GBP don't think Judah is worth a 50/50 split. His US exposure far eclipses Khan's

 

Bradleys wife is expecting a child and he wants to be with her as much as possible at this moment in time. He is taking a little break from boxing.

 

My impression of it is that Bradley gets an easy ride of it by some people because Khan and his team have messed things up so pathetically in the past. Quite a few people 'understand' Bradley's situation but would inevitably not understand if it was Khan. I just feel that if Bradley was such a warrior as he proclaims, he would be confident of beating Khan in July and get the Pacquiao fight that way rather than wait and see and make sure he keeps his '0'.

P.S I'm not a fan of either man at all, Khan has infuriated me many times with choices of opponents, the Primetime fiasco etc. I just feel this time he isn't in the wrong and that the other man should be criticised in the same way as he would be

 

Makes me wonder if Bradley really wants this fight.

 

WBC and WBO light welterweight champion Timothy Bradley said a July fight against WBA champion Amir Khan will not happen, but he has not ruled out fighting the British star later this year.

“Right now I'm not fighting Amir Khan,” Bradley said in an exclusive interview. “Unfortunately, we couldn't come to terms. “I'm ready and willing to go and available for other opportunities. “


Immediately after Bradley's fight, there was talk he would face Khan in a July 23 bout in Las Vegas or Los Angeles. The fight was to be televised by HBO.


Negotiations have been back and forth. Reports have said the sticking point was money, and the fight was declared dead over a week ago. But new reports this week by ESPN's Dan Rafael said Khan and his promoters, Golden Boy Promotions, sweetened the deal, giving Bradley a share of the pay-per-view revenues in Great Britain. It was also reported Bradley, who is expecting his first child in August with wife Monica, would have made $1.4 million for the fight, which would have been his career high.

“I'd rather not discuss the private negotiations in public out of respect to the people involved,” Bradley said. “Hopefully, Khan and I will meet in the future.”

There has been reports that Bradley's camp is sitting out until his contract with promoter Gary Shaw runs out at the end of June. Shaw had the rights to the July fight based on the two-fight deal with HBO.

Bradley said he would not comment further on the situation.

Judah's been a nobody for the past 4 years. The last sell-out fight he had was against Cotto, and that was because of Cotto and his die-hard Puerto Rican army. Since then not many people have been interested in him, so it's ridiculous for him to think he deserves a 50/50 split. Like I said, he's done jack all and has been a nobody for a very long time now. He's living in the past, and someone needs to tell him that this isn't early to mid 2000 anymore.

To be fair to Judah, he's won a couple of good fights and got himself back into contention in the last 12 months. Last I heard though it was him who didn't want the fight because Khans not a big enough name for him . Him and Bradley are both like wall flowers at the minute, sitting their obviously hoping Manny Pacqauio will pick them next and they'll get 3-4 million as the opponent rather than taking an honest fight and still making good money.

 

Hey may have the won the last few, but he's not looked doing so. Certainly not good enough to demand equal money from the elites of the 140 division.

And I agree. It's pretty amusing watching him and Bradley actually think they're in contention for a Pacquiao fight any time soon. At most, they'll get to fight Pac in a year's time...and that's if they're lucky. So in the meantime, they really should opt for a Khan fight....(unless they believe Khan has a good chance of scuppering their plans).

 

Did Judah not fight on a nothing network in front of a couple of hundred people last time out...?

 

Judah's only bargaining chip with the Khan's is his paper IBF title that really should belong to Bradley.

With most other fighters it'd mean **** all, but they seem to be obsessed with winning these baubles.

I'm not a fan of the Khan's constantly bleating about money but I think they've got a point in this instance. Zab is one loss away from being finished, and got a BS decision against a pretty limited Argie not so long back.

If he thinks he's getting Pacquiao any time soon he's on something.... wouldn't surprise me to see Manny retire if he beats Marquez.

 

Yeah you cant blame Bradley for the **** money he was offered when i last looked, you would want more than that for unification fight.
