I disagree entirely with that. Boxers are proud men, sometimes too proud for their own good. We don't say a referee shouldn't be able to stop a fight, and we should also say boxers should be unable to start one.

 

By 6am tomorrow this thread is going to be hella long.

Gutted for Jones that he didn't go the distance. Agree completely with all those saying he should have his license taken away for his own safety. He was behind on the cards but he didn't disgrace himself and I was happy for him. Then boom! Smogner should have jumped in and prevented that last punch from landing. It was a sickener.

 

Although i had backed Lebto win by ko, going into the last round i was genuinely happy that Roy was gong to make the distance and come out relatively unscathed, i was actually in the process of phoning my bet in again for the london crd and went into stunned silence and hung up when the ko came, worrying times for a while and i was so happy to see him get up, i was sure the ko would come very early and when he won the 1st 2(in my books) i was sure he would go the distance, i suppose its a double edged sword because if it had went the distance he would have felt the urge much more to continue, hopefully he sees some sense now. Please retire now Roy.
