Warren was pissed off at the poor tactics and may call for a change in degales setup... Similar to khan. Although degale is very close almost family like with his trainer, so can't see him being dropped unless warren insists. He wanted more action and uppercuts from degale.

The decision shocked me too, when paris name was read out after the other judge gave it a draw. I was certain he would give it to the warren fighter. So pleased for boxing it didn't go that way. Also, hope degale really improves, there was one lead left he through and it was reminiscent of mayweather pot shoting with his right. But too many flaws still for degale would need a good US trainer to male the most of his attributes.

 

DeGale needs a better trainer as soon as possible. He has too much potential for McDonnell to handle. I think he outgrew him with the Smith fight and needs to fight someone who can turn him from a good prospect into a elite champion. McDonnell isn't that man.

The last thing degale needs is a trainer telling him he's god and the best boxer in a generation etc

He should work on his weaknesses like booth said in post match.

I wasn't too impressed with either fighter to be honest, degale did appear stronger late on, and grove doesn't get the power when he's not planting his feet and instead fighting on the back foot. But like booth said, first time he's been asked to fight like that and he pulled it off, so credit to him.

Hopefully a year down the line we can see unification bouts with these two and froch in the mix...Though will be tough for any of these to get a world title from ward. Will be interesting for sure

 

Not seen the fight, was it a good fight or not, getting contrasting opinions?

Also I was initially disappointed that DeGale lost, but then after a while I was really happy, mainly due to the fact that there will still be a rivalry (DeGale will talk himself into a rematch), so we can have our own British Trilogy. How was DeGale after the fight? Hope he wasn't disrespectful to George, its not George's fault the judges went for him.
