I know mate, my post was just in jest :good

I feel for DeGale. Although the persona we see on TV suggests differently, he's a nice guy really. Hopefully this loss spurs him on and isn't actually a detraction to his progression. He still has a lot of potential.

This has been a great day of boxing, watching rocky just now waiting on the HBO card starting.

Groves done himself proud tonight, personally I had DeGale winning within 6 before the fight but so glad he done it.

Laz i really don't want to quote you and see your name in the same post as mine. You don't deserve that type of limelight

The KDL are all ******s, I don't even know who they are but I can confidently predict that. People invested in one hero like figure are below trolls as types of poster I care for so stick to copying Amir Khan stories from Newsnow rather than type things at me and we'll get on very well from this day forth.

 I know Kos :good, I'm gutted mate i dunno it's like i lost out there tonight .

It just dawned on me....DeGale was asked yesterday what do you think Groves will do and he said ''ain't got a clue tbh''.....and by sounds he really didn't have a plan. Sounds like this may be a good thing as you say could spur him on. I'd like to see him go and work with a more technical coach and less of a headbanger.

Btw on Radio when DeGale entered Arena it was deafening...Only in British Boxing.

My Sky box is a joke Laz, When i've had box office in past it's played up but of late been fine. Tonight of all nights it wouldn't work for me...it was just a picture stuck and then every so often it would catch the action.

    I tried a few other ways of watching...Mark your a **** btw...

Anyways i ended up taking missus home trekking though South London on bus while trying to listen to fight on radio. Mike Costello recreated Rocky tonight.

Although I predicted DeGale to win in the middle rounds, I did say Groves would have some success boxing on the outside at the beginning. If I could partially see what Groves was going to do, then surely McDonnell would have and implemented some sort of gameplan to go in with against that style? You have to cover all the bases and McDonnell and DeGale just didn't do that and have paid dearly as a result.

This is what stopped me betting on Degale - I just thought that there is really too much difference between the two fighters but the difference bwtween trainers is ridiculous!!

    Agree with both of you.

Tbh i allowed my judgement to get clouded. I'm not keen on Groves dunno why just ain't my type of person. I know few lads that said to me ''he's nice lad i know him..'' But i been a DeGale fan and still am and believe he can come again cos i know he wants to make it at this sport.

But both of you are spot on i think the preparation was Key...i tried play it down hoping they wouldn't be that stupid....but they was.
