This was probs the best result for British boxing though. I like and have supported both, live and on TV. Degale has more exposure and with Warren is more likely to rebound from this, with Groves I wasnt so sure. With such a close fight Im pleased Groves got the nod as now both and push on with Sky's backing. Neither disgraced themselves, imagine a rematch in two years. Absolutely top notch!

From what i saw of tonights card im very doubtful whether these guys are the future of British boxing, Cleverlys gonna get chinned at somepoint, just lets his head get in front of him all the time, a KO waiting to happen.

Harder to say with the other two as they are relative novices but theres still a hell of a lot to work on, Im hoping both promoters keep them grounded and have another 10 or so fights at brit/euro level instead of looking for the payday and letting them get exposed

Ah, that's a shame. I won't debate anything with you (yet..) since it's a dissapointing outcome for ya.

Hope you're staying up for the Bhop fight :good

Really! So you're not impressed with any of the 3? :patsch Look at Carl Froch's 12th/13th fight - did he look as good as either Groves/Degale. Look at Calzaghe's first 15 fights did he look as good as them?

Sorry mate but youre talking shite :-(

I heard Clev ate two solid punches or something? then fight got stopped in round 3 for a small cut?. Tbh people are like me with DeGale after Smith. In terms of overratting Clev after the Murat fight. I never been overly impressed but was surprised at his rise to prominence over last 2 years.

 Yeah i'm staying up for it Laz :good, I like Pascal but B-Hop's class and i'd love to see him do it tonight and tbh can't see him not doing it.

Pretty sure Calzaghe looked better than this lot at any point. By quite a margin. Cleverly is like a really poor mans Joe Calzaghe at the moment with what he's aiming to accomplish in the ring. Taking a lot of punches and giving 3 times as many back, but problem is, he's doing this against average opponents and the question is whether he can continue doing it against the best. Calzaghe had superb smarts, chin, and awkwardness working for him. Not sure Clev does. He will be a good fighter though.

It's funny, the one man that really impressed tonight was BJS. Nobody else really shone to me skills wise. I thought Gavin would have done.

It will be interesting to see how Warren matches his fighters now after tonight. Frankie needs a step up because tonight was a joke and i think he's not been in a fight yet. He's been presented no problems as of yet...every fight seems to follow same pattern.

Warren may revert back to old ways with his fighters....i hope he doesn't.

You read me wrong mate, might be my wording at this time of night, theyve both got a lot of talent, im trying to say they need to keep them grounded for a while and let them progress, if they start moving them quickly they will get exposed. I could very well be wrong but im not convinced that either will be genuine world beaters (no1 in weight category)

With Clev im almost certain he'll get KOd if he fights any of the top l-heavys. he gets too excited, trys to trade and gets tagged at least once a fight. Last three fights he hasnt folowed the game plan properly and i just think hes a KO waiting to happen
