Nelson gets a massive hard on when he talks about DeGale.

It's pretty scary how much Nelson loves Degale. It kinda goes to show you what Groves had been saying in the build up to the fight was true. The whole when anyone talks about James, they only talk about his strenghs and how great he is. Instead of focusing on the weaknesses and letting him know he has this, and that to work on. T

Could agree more with this thread title.

**** me off Royally when in the Ringside Face-of, the way Johnny Nelson & the Sky Sports brigade were disrespecting Groves when they're both still learning the ropes. Even the commentary at the beginning of the fight was biased, listening to them say "George is doing well...FOR NOW" or "Degale hasn't done much YET.." emphasising they're bias.

I'll tell you what, right before the fight when Nelson said something like 'Groves knows now, he's scared, he's petrified because he knows he is in deep now', as if he had a hard on and pre cum, me and all my mates looked at each other in shock and talked about how extreme that was.

Also, something else which was funny which he said right after was when he was commenting on some of the highlights of DeGale vs previous opponents being shown, I forgot who the opponent was now but he said in a really hyped up (and probably still horny from the last comment) voice, 'he's just so.........(searches for a word to do justice to how much he is disgusted with DeGale's opponent)

"People like you arent helping him Johnny - You're inflating him too much"

he really did a bad job,not very good impartial smart work at all, just a fanboy on telly.

he got egg all over his face, egg and his face were in alignment.

i mean, dont get me wrong, degales good, but he was over hyped to f*ck,he needs some real honest good trainer/s to handle him better and improve him some more.

Have to say ive never heard such blatant nut-huggery from a pundit on a major broadcast as Nelson tonight. It was so extreme it provoked Barry into getting hyped while Joe's expression summed up what everyone who was watching was thinking, ie. for a man who can't speak properly and has his **** up the crevice of of his fav fighters, how the f*ck is Nelson such a prominent figure in Sky's boxing output?!?!!?

I love how Groves handled Nelson on ringside.

As much as we take the **** on here, I really think Booth has done a tremendous job with George's mentality. He knows he can't take any notice of what other people are saying and he has to disregard the compliments just as much as the criticisms. He called out Johnny there, and he was bang on with everything he says.

They was writing him off after a shaky fight against Anderson and elevating Degale up to world class for beating Paul Smith. Pretty daft in hindsight

It was pretty daft with foresight. Anderson is clearly a quality domestic opponent and Groves' own performance in their fight has never had the respect it deserves.

Groves had clearly mixed in better company.

That was probably the most biased punditry I have ever seen in any sport, McGuigan was getting seriously pissed off with him.

Nelson is a joke. And why did he keep cutting Calzaghe off? That was most annoying.
