Is Lebedev top level? Because Jones was clowning him at times and you could argue he was winning the fight before being stopped with 10 SECONDS left in the fight. Jones actually looked good in this fight when he wasn't lying on the ropes. He does need to retire but he is his own man, if he wants to go out on his back in the ring then that's his choice and I respect it. Doesn't take away from the fact he's one of the greatest of all time.
It looked to me like Smoger hesitated because he was affraid of getting hit by Lebedev. Either way, it's not Smoger's finest moment in boxing. His instincts are usually so accurate and he is usually assertive and decisive. Apparently he messed up another fight on the card. Looks like Roy is not the only guy who should seriously contemplate retirement.
yeah! even though smoger didnt step in fast enough i would have never thrown a punch at a man who is already out!
Jones should have retired after the Johnson knock out. He has been a damaged fighter for a long time. In his prime he truly was Mr. Invincible.
Its worse he got so far in the fight he probably just thinks hes unlucky and will fight again. its sad to see really is
The difference between what we see today and a prime RJJ are like night and day. All the speed and the instincts are virtually gone and that is dangerous for a fighter who solely relies on his speed to defend himself. The problem with RJJ is that he would have steered clear away from people like Lebedev in his prime. He played the cat and mouse game with Michalczewski and he never consistently went up against the best people, not that there were too many in his prime. That's the only criticism one can level on his legacy.
CoDer, llCoDer = Disrespectfull Do While .T. llCoDer = Messagebox("Why did you say that?") if llCoder = Answered Exit endif Enddo Did i disrespected you man? Why you insulted me like that out of the blue? that's NOT godly!
