Jean Pascal vs. Bernard Hopkins II & Chad Dawson vs. Adrian Diaconu RBR

Looking forward to seeing how well Dawson does now that he's trained with Steward and will have him in his corner.

 

I can't wait for Hop vs. Pascal to be under way now my accumilator is screwed by DeGale losing. That was the one fight I had that I was nervous about. It was only when I saw them on Ringside that I realised it was 50/50. Groves is chinny but DeGale isn't the biggest puncher. He could possibly use a better trainer too. Suppose my v-cash is down on Dawson and Hopkins. Pascal has improved every time out since fighting Froch imo and was dominating that before getting lazy after 5. He has a really good punch but doesn't finish people off. If he has continued to improve at the rate he has recently he could take this one. He still seems to gas after 5 though. It will be interesting to see what Hopkins has brought to the table this time out. Has the boxing master mind thought up a good enough game plan. I'm not confident enough to put real money on him this time but I still fancey him to take it.

I think so, if he listened to Stewart at all he should improve.

 

If Diaconu wins, its gonna be between rounds 1-6....cause he usually gases pretty bad in the second half of the fight. I think Diaconu will make it a great fight for 6 or 7 rounds but Dawson will capitalize in the later rounds and win via 8-4 UD.

 

Depends on if he actually got to train with Manny Steward. If Manny gave him some real time an attention, he'll have improved. Steward is easily the best trainer to have worked with him, but he's generally overbooked, and gets less than 5 hours a week with some of his guys. If Chad got 20 hours or so, you better believe he's got new tricks.

Dawson should of never left Mayweather Sr. I think he actually played a huge roll in defeating Adamek as well.

 

Diaconu and Chad are still coming to the ring for their fight, so it'l still be a little while.

 

Chad looks skinny.

 

He helped, but I put that loss on Adamek. He was weight drained making 175 and had a horrible game plan of trying to be faster than Dawson.

**** yeah Kronk Gym colors, that yellow/blue/red always looks so sweet.

 

I like how HBO was able to show video highlights of the first fight considering it was on ShowTime. ShowTime was only showing pictures of the previous fights of Pac and Shane respectively.

 

Max Kellerman basically just accused Emanuel Steward of cherry picking the most talented guys in each division to work with.
