Dude, come on. Groves didn't win that fight, he was the sentimental favourite which is why people gave him rounds he didn't really deserve. Always happens when the underdog does better than expected. We look for reasons to give them rounds because it would be a great story, but DeGale won that fight.

 

I had it a draw, it could have went either way imo.

The commentary team said it all. They were always criticising DeGale. He wasn't doing enough, he was missing. They were making out like Groves was throwing 90 punches a round, and countering his opponent at will. Comical.

 

They were. Before the fight all I kept hearing was, "I ****in' hope Groves beats that *****".

Yeah, judges never get it wrong. ****in' clown shoes. Also factor in that the crowd were cheering whenever Groves let his hands go.

I wouldn't go that far, but I think DeGale won the fight close but clear. I think the judges got it wrong, and I think most people here who have scored it for Groves wanted him to win. DeGale was expected to dominate, and when that didn't happen, they were seeing rounds for his opponent, who wasn't throwing many shots himself and was always on the retreat. No world titles for Groves, and an immediate rematch would almost certainly be a different story.

Watt was pretty bad his negativity about Degale because he expected more from Degale, almost certainly won Groves rounds to some people.

I was in stitches when that tit was interviewing Groves at the end. "It was close at times". The whole fight was close but round 11, where Groves took a pasting.
