The fight was close, any impartial scorer of the fight could see that. So I honestly don't see what the big problem is about Groves winning by one point in a fight that could have went either way?

er no. Actually let's break this down properly. DeGale should have had 2 points deducted. Elbowing and using the shoulder - as he was clearly frustrated by Groves's superior tactics.

The better fighter won on the night.

    War Groves!

Ther's no chance a rematch will happen right away, as others have said if Degale where to lose again he would never recover mentally i don't think, probably having a hard time of it the now!

No need for a rematch now. Groves doesnt need it and Degale needs to sit down with his promoter and trainer and be honest in seeing where it went wrong. Come back and fight groves down the line where if both keep winning it will be huge.

If DeGale had won in the same circumstances, the word 'Rematch' would have quickly evaporated from Fwanks vocabulary.

Would prefer to see a rematch later down the line. When/If they both have World titles.

I just don't get it. Do you not want to see a rematch because you have the idea that DeGale would win it? It was a huge domestic fight. It was so close that close to half of the people who watched it either had it a draw or for DeGale. There surely has to be an immediate rematch? I don't wanna see Groves fight anyone else domestically, and I don't wanna see DeGale fight anyone else either.

Er... no. I want to see a rematch but not just yet. Give them both a chance to improve. Would be much more exciting. I'd rather see them both at the top of their game (at World level) rather than now as two 'kids' fighting domestically. DeGale is a good, good fighter but has got the wrong people around him. Too many 'Yes' men telling him he's the greatest before he's even been tested. Unfortunately he listened and got exposed. I knew Groves would win. He's only 23 for gods sake, let him enjoy it... and we haven't seen the last of DeGale.

"Exposed". No, he wasn't given the benefit of the doubt in a super close fight that could have gone either way. That's not quite the same as being exposed, chief. Besides, I don't really see Groves making it to world level. I don't think he's good enough, whereas DeGale has far more potential. If Groves and his team sincerely believe what they say, they'll take a rematch for two reasons. They'll win again, and they can't expect to get a bigger pay day anywhere else in the country. It makes perfect sense to do it again.

So groves win= james degale wasnt liked and people wanted him to lose
If it was the other way round and de gale won= he got benifit of the doubt due to being olympic gold medalist
Oh and a good reson to say no to a rematch..... how many times has frank warren got his cheque book out to insure a macklin "victory"? why let him to the same for a rematch
