I hope you're not judging based on Hopkins' last two fights like many of the simple minded people do. Hopkins also barely had scratches on his face leaving fights in his prime.

Mayweather uses the Philly shell. Against Mosley he barely even moved laterally.

How exactly is Floyds defense athletically based? :patsch

Uhhh Floyd broke Zab down the same way Hopkins broke Pascal down. Both Zab judah and Pascal are frontrunners that cant fight a full 12 round fight. Mayweather punished Zab to the body and made him fight, nothing to do with Zab tiring.

Even though i disagree its not really relevant to the arguement, point was the defensive work done by Floyd.
Floyd when faced with greater speed turned very conventional in his defense.

Where Hopkins who almost always faces greater speed still makes people hit shoulders and air with upperbody movement and a philly shell.

Which stems back to my point that Floyds defense is a combination of almost equal parts between great technique and athleticism.

    B-Hop is almost purely technique.

Zab coming off a loss Knocked overrated Floyd down.
Mosley shot to bits had Floyd on his heels like Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz.
When he faces a young power fighter he will be RJJ'd.

Ugh the hugger brigade is on my ass, fine you guys are right and im wrong.
Christ you cant even bringup a valid point without people getting into uber defensive mode.

I never once disputed how great Floyd is, but im sorry i can see things objectively.

Floyd fighting young champs like Taylor and Pascal lol ok.
Hopkins making Floyd look like a journeyman.
Floyd 34 and 12 years younger still has to fight Welters 5 years older or bring a midget like hatton or JMM to Welter. He has proved nothing yet.
Where is he currently ranked P4P ? thank you
