Why did Hopkins win the EVT?

    Ring entry - Check
    Underdog - Check
    Middle Round Pushups - Check
    Post Fight Pushups - Check
Old Man Forcing/Bossing Young Lineal Champ - Check

Pascal did not salvage the EVT with his lame one handed post fight pushups. Hopkins is a legend in fights and EVTs. Where does this put Hopkins on the EVT P4P list I wonder. :think

Pascal is stupid, he could have hoisted the EVT from Hopkins if he just started blabbering about "taking the damn tests" during the post-fight interviews

Good analysis! Hopkins turned in a solid event performace even before the bell, but the push ups between rounds really sealed an emphatic event win

Hopkins took the EVT. Pushups were genius. I think he won the fight when he got inside Pascal's head. You can't take the EVT win from a Master Wizard. So yes, Hopkins is, as of now, the all time P4P Champ of EVT wins.

I know, Hopkins won him over with his classy post fight interview. A crafty, veteran move to snatch the EVT win by lulling Pascal into a respectful engagement.

Thank you, sir, I couldn't have agreed more :good :bbb :deal

I know, had Pascal bought this up he would have had a chance at reclaiming the EVT.

He had me at the first pushup too. Jetmax. :deal :happy :good

Well said. It was a tactically and psychologically a brilliant way of masterminding the win and the EVT. Hopkins is a Master Wizard, with the craft, technique, experience, and skills to monumentally pull of a legendary championship win, and an EVT win. Doesn't get any sweeter than that. :deal :happy

    The analysis here is redundant.

BHop won the fight and the event.

And as the scholars of eventology well know, this can only happen once in all of time.

And when this comes to pass, it will portend wondrous consequences.

In this case, it is pretty clear that the arrival of the prophesied DW (Double Winner) has staved off the end of the world, an 'event' that had also been prophesied for the very same day !

Let it be known: you MUST be a MASTER WIZARD to pull off both the win and EVT win. Push ups FTMFW! Mad props to BHop.

Had Pascal persisted about the issue in the post fight interview, he may have stolen the EVT.
