calslappy gets credits for punches no other boxer would get credit for. clean PUNCHES are what your suppose to judge a fight on, or does that rule not apply with Calslappy? And please dont say those are punches, cause no man would teach his son how to fight like that, honestly. B Hop lost a slapping match, pity. And even then it was a SPLIT DECISION so act like calzaghe whooped B hop if that makes you feel good inside. But you get less respect from sensible boxing fans, who saw the Fight, the more you bring him into another Bernards accomplishments.

I Guess Medgoen Singsurat is a GOAT because he KOed Pac. who? my point exactly.

Fixed in the original post. My mistake on that.

Again, I hope you've learned the lesson about the Reid/Calzaghe fight. The next time you bring it up, you can do so with a bit more understanding of what actually happened in the fight.

The fight was a blowout after Round 3. Unfortunately, one judge seems to have been watching a different bout that evening. No matter, two judges and the HBO in-house judge -- and myself -- all were within one point of each other on the bout. The correct scores, and result, were rendered. And the outlier judge's score was correctly overruled.

Thing is, Calz doesn't mind a dirty or brawling fight. Ask Mitchell and Salem. He can fight that way when needed.

The problem for Hopkins is he cannot fight the high-speed, high-workrate manner in which Calz fights (pretty much no one else can, either, so this isn't a diss at BHop). So, Joe would always have the edge.

So we are using street guy casual sport fan logic. :good Good thing these guys have little say at the end of the day of what the annals of boxing will tell of the legacies of Bernard Hopkins and Joe Calzaghe.

You have to beat everyone in your bracket in basketball. You don't get to pick and choose who to play. You have to beat the best of the best. If that were the case, Calzaghe would've gotten rid of that 0 on his record long ago.

calzaghe went into hopkins back yard and ****ed hopkins up with 3 corrupt judges and hopkins brother joe cortez referee'ing the fight

calzaghe did all this in his 1st fight at light heavyweight and hopkins was crawling on his hands and knees in the 11th because he was scared shitless to fight toe to toe with a man who had the most brittle hands in boxing.

last night was an even bigger win for calzaghe than it was for hopkins. besides, pascal had already had his ***** handed to him by a chump like froch. if calzaghe had gotten hold of pascal, it would have been the biggest mis-match in boxing, pascal would have got lacyied just like roy jones.

He would tear Pascal apart. I'll give Hopkins more credit, just because I respect him. And he's vastly better than Pascal, prime-for-prime.

If Prime Calzaghe had Younger Calzaghe's power (before the hands were hurt), he is almost the perfect fighter: Big speed, huge workrate, amazing endurance, outstanding chin. Aggressive style. Exceptional movement.

The only thing missing was the power, and there wasn't anything Calz could do about that as the hands started to get hurt. Still, when he really needed the power, he could bring it (Mitchell and Lacy, for example).

I still remember when Lacy was going to "school" the "overhyped" Calzaghe. Poor Lacy; he was set-up for the beatdown of a lifetime after that dissing of the Welchman.
